Not really. They made SEVERAL re-attempts with the M7 to finally get it to match and slightly beat the A8 time at Big Willow, but if they had tried several more times to improve the A8s time, what do you think would have happened?

a DCT is a computer controlled MANUAL transmission.
so really, your argument isn't even auto vs manual it is actually computer vs human. makes sense, considering you are friends with Bill Gates.

I'm sixty and bought my first manual since 1990. Don't worry, it comes back to you quickly and the only handicap is when I do an over the shoulder look, there's barely a window there. Good God that's small!
