I am afraid to ask what you paid for what you got.

You got that right.
I just added eight people to my forum Ignore List. I recommend others do the same. They don't want to help others. They just flame people. Not everyone has their entire ego wrapped up in a car. Some people have a life outside Corvette. Don't bother responding. I won't see it.

Did I make the cut. I hope so.

Nothing gets corvette enthusiasts worked up more than misidentifying a model. Z51 guys go so far as getting "special badges" to not feel left out of the party.

Wow! Over-reacting much? If I didn't get on your list, please make sure you do. I'd hate to see you triggered again.

You have a base Stingray with 3LT interior and an A8 Trans! Same engine as a Grand Sport but a better ride and you don't have to change brake pads as I did when I got it home because of the excess dust! Easier to change and check oil level as well.
Good luck!

Reminds me of when I removed the shift **** from my M7! There was a How to..Thread that repeated the GM info that was little help. Then one person said, "You'll know why you have to lift up first when you see it when you get it off!" Talk about a Catch 22! After I was getting frustrated and why I was searching the forum that was not what I needed to read. Never did get an answer from the forum and after I found what needed to be done, i.e. use pliers for my car and turn 90 degrees, found many others who had similar problems! That post comment was no better than the GM statement, "Pull up while turning CCW," which was useless!
One reason I take lots of pics for the How-To...PDF's I have made of some ~40 mods, etc. most minor!
This is a pic from the PDF about the know replacement for those with an M7!

No, no, no....the OP posted (even in the title of the thread) LT3, not a 3LT interior. Thus the reason for my post. So I'm thinking he meant reference to the engine, not the interior.

Seriously? Wow! Now that takes things to a whole new level.
As an owner of a non-Z51 Stingray, I never felt any "inadequacies" when around a Z51 car. I think the only way to tell (on the 2017 cars) is by the size of the wheels......my Stingray has 18" in the front and 19" in the rear, versus 19" and 20" on Z51 cars. I think the Z51 cars have larger brakes as well.
Just what would a Z51 badge look like and where would you put it?

At this point don't worry about it. You have a Corvette. That's the main thing. Drive it and enjoy it.

Know we are all sensitive to all these numbers BUT to the average person it's a Corvette, if they know that much!

It's on the front vent behind the front wheels, for one. It says, "Z51." That's what it looks like. It may be other places as well. Tire size won't tell you because prior to 2018, you could get larger wheels as an option. They were forced on you when you chose the MSRC option, along with a "Z51" spoiler. As of 2018 they are the same on both.

#2) The Z51 larger, slotted brake rotors can be seen from 30' feet away, easy..
