New Window Tint Blocks 98% Heat by XPEL
The next generation of automotive window tint has arrived. As one of the most trusted brands in automotive paint protection & window film, we are proud to announce the unveiling of the all new XPEL PRIME XR PLUS. A unique multi-layer nano particle construction. Unrivaled heat rejection properties. Superior clarity. Truly, XPEL PRIME XR PLUS redefines high performance window tint.
For many automotive enthusiasts, window tint has always been about privacy and aesthetics. PRIME XR PLUS takes it to a whole new level. By utilizing ceramic particle technology, PRIME XR PLUS is able to deliver superior heat rejection like we’ve never felt before. Up to 98% of infrared heat can’t penetrate PRIME XR PLUS, ensuring your interior stays cooler than ever.
On top of that, XPEL PRIME XR PLUS provides SPF 1,000 UV protection, effectively blocking 99% of harmful, cancer-causing rays. It also helps prevent interior materials from fading, cracking, and degrading over time.
Drive down any road in the world, and chances are you’ll see a car with window tint that’s starting to degrade. Low quality film, improper install, and many other factors can attribute to the lifespan of your tint. Thanks to the lifetime transferable warranty offered by XPEL PRIME XR PLUS, you’ll never have to sweat about your window tint. Discoloration, fading, bubbling, peeling, cracking, and delamination are a thing of the past.
So, if you’ve been thinking about upgrading the window tint on your personal vehicle, look no further. PRIME XR PLUS is rolling out to authorized XPEL dealers everywhere, and as the weather heats up, there’s no better time to stay cool.

What is the LEAST amount of tint for this product? Can you put XR Plus on windows and get ZERO tint in terms of color?

I mean doesn’t ceramic tint reject just as much IR? I don’t understand.

Where in Houston would you recommend i get this installed?

“Up to 98%”......
What does that mean? If 98% is the highest level of infrared transmission blocked, what is the lowest with this product? I’m assuming this is related to the % tint?

This is a good question, this is ceramic tint. However this film just has much higher IR Blocking properties than the vast majority of films on the market.
For the Houston area, please go to XPEL In Houston.
XR PLUS 5% (limo tint) -- 98% IR Rejection
XR PLUS 20% -- 97% IR Rejection
XR PLUS 30% -- 96-97% IR Rejection
XR PLUS 35% -- 96-97% IR Rejection
XR PLUS 45% -- 97% IR Rejection
XR PLUS 70% -- 92-94% IR Rejection

The lightest "tint" or VLT (the percentage of light coming through, so the lighter the film the higher the number) is 70%. This we have seen people put on windshields and not have any issues seeing out of.
This is a great question and yes it does vary based on the VLT or %. I've listed the available VLT's below and their Infrared Heat Rejection number next to them.

Do they make it in clear? I don't want tinting but if they've magically invented some material that blocks 98% of the infrared wavelengths without affecting the visible spectrum, that's genius, and I want me some of that!

Our lightest VLT (shade) is 70% which is practically clear when looking through it. I'd recommend going to a local XPEL installer near you and asking to see a piece of the XR PLUS 70 material in person. This might help you make the decision.

Understandably this was just released, but when can we expect to see Prime XR plus rolling out to more installers? I checked in my area (St. Louis, MO) and I have to drive pretty far to find anyone with Prime XR and I don't see any mentioning PLUS.

XR PLUS is making its way out to installers as we speak. They may already have it even if it's not on their website. Best bet is to call the ones near you and request it by name. If you let me know a couple of the installers nearest you, I will reach out to them about it.
