Default Z51 side skirts

i have a 16 Z51 and am interested in adding side skirts, but can’t decide between the full length and 3/4 length that are available. Does anyone have experience with adding them to their stingray? And can you please post pics (especially of the full length as they seem harder to come by)

thanks

I went with the ACS Zero1 skirts on my '14 Z51 and really like how they compliment the car's lines w/o being over-the-top like the Zero7 skirts.

I also did the Z06 Stage 1 "poverty" splitter painted in Carbon Flash to match the skirts.

I have a 16 Z51 as well and put the full length skirts on mine and think they look great. I don't currently have a pic but I got them from ACS Composite. They have a couple of pics. I went with the Zero7

Not a fan of 3/4 Side Skirts...They just look odd to me...

I have Z51 style carbon flash painted side skirts from C7Carbon...

I went with the Z06 look full length from JW motorsports, he has non painted and Carbon Fiber, at 300 bucks its hard to beat the carbon fiber but I have none on my car so I went with painted.. I absolutely love them and they work, you can hear the rocks hitting the underside of them now instead of the side of the car...

I was looking at those. I have no CF anywhere else either, so was thinking the ABS ones. Their website says they need to be sanded and painted, did you do that? Or can they be installed as is? My car is black, so wondering if they would look good or necessitate painting (which would obviously add more cost)

^^
FWIW there are side skirts that come painted carbon flash, which the black on your car is painted (like lower rear bumper and hood vent.)

Not easy to do so worth the extra cost to buy painted from the manufacturer. My GM Stage 2 aero option comes with carbon flash painted splitter, full length side skirts and rear spoiler.

The splitter and side skirts are painted carbon fiber as is the matching color rear diffuser I recently added from C7 Carbon. The Stage 3 winglets I added to the splitter are ABS painted carbon flash matching the splitter.

Originally had these, which were the basic model, picked up on ebay for $135 then had painted carbon flash metallic:

After an ugly story which had nothing to do with the quality of the skirts I installed these last week. Carbon fibre, the color of which matches the car pretty well. $359 from jwmotoring.com.

Personally I think the 3/4 side skirts and poverty splitter look the best on the non widebody stingray Z51. Anything beyond this looks like its trying to hard to be a widebody.

No regrets on my 3/4 sides and poverty splitter. But to each their own.

the GM pre-painted ones and the link I gave you come out about the same unless you paint them yourself.. I have seen people put them on without painting them but I believe most of them were tracking their cars, not sure how that would look...

I bought the carbon flashpainted Z06 style from C7 Carbon. They fit fully between the wheel wells. I bought another set, from a different vendor that were about 1 inch short,so, I sent them back.
I did not drill 10 holes in my underbody. I drilled about 5 holes that work great with the existing 5 screws in the underbody. And, I bought black rivets off of Ebay to replace the silver shiny supplied rivets.

I bought these ABS plastic skirts on ebay. Had them painted black to match my rear spoiler.

Agree with 3/4 skirts on stingray. Thats what I have and like the balance/look. painted poverty splitter finishes the look.

With the 3/4 length coming standard on a GS.My opinion,The skirts should go full length.Sold the original's on Ebay

All C7 corvette's take the same skirts

I agree, not sure what GM was thinking with the 3/4, looks like they forgot the back half...

I have a GS with stock 3/4, not really sure if I like the looks of the 3/4 or full better. Totally personnel preference from an aesthetic perspective. I assume the full do offer slightly better protection.
I would select the finish (ABS, carbon fiber, carbon flash etc.) which best complements the rest of your C7.
I feel carbon fiber looks out of place unless accompanied by other exterior same material components.

You can install them unpainted. They will have a light black look to them and will probably fade in the sun over the years. I would suggest having them painted.
