Experienced my first Vitesse "low power mode" issue yesterday. Car sat in a parking lot all day. Temps in the high 80's. Hopped in to drive home and it immediately went into low power mode. I have to assume the high temp in the car caused an over temp issue with the controller as I haven't had any previous issues. I was able to reach around the pedal and disconnect the device. Low power mode cleared and left a CEL which cleared on restart. I was 100+ miles from home and a bit spooked by this.

I haven't returned mine, but I uninstalled it for a trip to dealer and never put it back in. Partly because of the lack of tip in it has in all SP modes. Considering selling it and going to the Sprint booster which I hear has more tip in.

Question, how does this impact the Launch control feature. Does it work in tandem with the vettes mode selector or will it create a different launch experience for manual transmission cars?

AFAIK it doesn't affect launch control at all. But I'm a little frustrated. I just started using the timer to clock 0-60 and as soon as I let my foot off the brake the timer starts. I know I'm not doing something right.
