Default Computer controlled throttle response

The throttle response is computer controlled - Just change driving modes. How does this work?

Vitesse has 9 sport modes and 7 eco modes - who would use eco have no idea - "throttle response is computer controlled " not with Vitesse its telling your computer / throttle body how to behave now - its like an over ride - its takes over - tells your vettes computer push over I am in charge now

I just put some 2-sided tape on the "control" box (not the remote) and stuck it on a flat area under the dash. Easy and seems to be fine so far.

Do you take this off when going in for service? If discovered will it void warranty even though it is undetected by the ECM?

The dealer would have to prove that the controller caused the issue for whatever warranty claim you are making, so if the claim is for anything unrelated, then it is unlikely it would cause a warranty coverage issue. If the something more specific like the TPS goes out, I could possibly see them claiming this as a cause, but likely, they would warranty it anyways, unless the dealer is a stickler.

Dealers don't have to prove anything and generally don't care about modifications. They do have to obtain approval from GM for warranty repairs, and they do care about that. I don't know what GM's position is on devices like the Vitesse, but the fine print in your warranty coverage, which was on the contract you signed when you purchased the car, does say non-OEM mods are reason for a warranty denial if GM deems them to be related to the malfunction.

It sounds like you're making that tired old Magnussen-Moss Warranty Act will protect you argument. It won't, and it was never intended for system mods like Vitesse and other bolt-on mods, or having to have your car serviced at a dealer. It was intended to cover non-OEM parts like oil and air filters that otherwise meet manufacturer specs. On the other hand, I can't imagine the Vitesse causing a warranty issue.

Guys, one other matter to mention. If you ever hand your car over to valet , repair, or some other driver, make sure to turn the VTC back to zero. You don't want to end up having a liability issue if someone hot-foots into something with the VTC set to 9!

Actually, you said exactly what I was trying to say... "...non-OEM mods are reason for a warranty denial if GM deems them to be related to the malfunction." I misspoke wen I said "dealer" and for this I truly apologize, I meant "GM" in this case. I will now slither back into my hole and not make any more comments online.

The ECO modes would be perfect when you turn your car over to GM, or a valet, or someone who wants to drive your car and you do not want them hot rodding it.. EC7 would slow them down fast You should try it out and see what it does, I actually use EC5 when I drop it off..

I had a Vitesse on my C6 A6, loved it, and had put the controller in the ashtray for easy access. Where have you put it in your C7 for access and "hideability?" Thanks.
