Exactly, so that the chrome wheels match all the other chrome components on the car like the chrome bumpers, chrome trim, chrome mirrors, chrome door handles, etc...

Guess you didnt catch the JK..

Better hurry up and tell GM, that due to no chrome being on the Corvette, no chrome wheels are authorized due to some BOZO on a Corvette Forum.

Also GM better delete those funny chrome looking exhaust pipes..
