The wave is alive & well here in Central New York - I always get at least 75% response when I'm in the C7, and that jumps up to about 90% when I'm in the 1962. Everybody loves those older Corvettes!

About an hour and a half ago, one of you spankers got the wave from me, with just a single digit. You were the guy on beltway eight between 45 and 290, in a red coupe, driving with your wipers on full blast, brake checking everyone in the left lane. Anyway, you deserve it.

It depends on the person. If your in A friendly area around the country you can expect an acknowledgement of some kind.If your around the city limits take Baltimore or Philadelphia, then not so much.

Wave is alive and well here in Kentucky. Just remember that some folks might not see you due to looking at gauges, cell phone, passenger, etc.

That would be a peace sign. Certainly no more "gay" than a wave, probably less so. I have to say that it does look a bit silly when people are waving at each other just because they drive the same car but I get the idea.

Yup, spend 6 months in the winter on the Gulf coast in Florida , near Englewood. Almost everybody waves, lots of us old guys, maybe just happy to be on the right side of the grass kinda thing.....oh yea, and mostly chrome wheels LOL.

The other 6 months home here in Ontario I think the only time I don't get a wave back is when I think the other guy just was not looking, maybe.

4 Stingrays waved today - also my home town has a car show every Monday night so that helped on the road to it - Southern Ma.

Anyway and FWIW, it's alive and well in Oregon.

Another thing to consider in this discussion is those who don't wave back may simply NOT see your Corvette.
I know I have driven past some and not noticed until it's too late to wave.

I usually flash my lights for a second. Quick pull of the light stalk. Faster and easier then a wave. Also hard to see a wave through tinted windows.

Still wave here in big D. Well its more of lifting both my middle & index finger while grabbing the steering wheel.
