MPG for my recent trip with Eco mode and without...
Went to Ocean City from NoVa -- 190 mile trip. Minimal traffic since I left early. Car is a non z51 M7 and NOT using the A/C either trip.
To OC WITH Eco mode I got 35 MPG door to door average.
From OC WITHOUT Eco mode I got 32.6 on the way home.
Not bad. My Z51 MN6 C6 got 29.0 on the same trip stock. My C7 is stock as well.
Thought I would share.

Wow. 55mph? Did you fall asleep or were you holding up the prius line?

Very impressive economy either way, wish I had that kind of discipline when behind the wheel.

Very well then. Enjoy in good health. But my MPG concerns are more about how well I can do at 90-100. Because that is the traveling speed on open stretches in California. At which I have gotten 25-27 depending on how many times a downshift was required to get around the PRIUS/TESLA contingent.

We just completed a 9 day over 1900 mile road trip to Branson and Kansas City from Houston and averaged 29.1 mpg at an average 50 mph per the trip odometer. We were in Sport mode the entire trip in our A8 Stingray convertible.

IMO, if you've got technology that will allow you to get better gas mileage when you're just cruising on the highway, why not use it? It's like getting free gasoline! As soon as you need the power, all 8 cylinders come back to play in a blink of an eye. I for one am a big fan of AFM now! I will be the first to admit that before I got my C7 I thought for sure I was going to be ordering a Range module and avoiding V4 mode altogether, but after seeing how seemless it operates on my car and how much of an improvement in MPG I get, I'm sold on it. I love how my C7 gets better gas mileage than my C6 while having 55 more horsepower too.

That is really impressive. I got 30.1 on a 1,200 mile trip once. And that included some in town driving occasionally.
As an aside. When I go down to Mexico (yes, I really go down there) for some spirited driving, and I mean real spirited! I filled up before going over the border and filled up again on re-entry and I got 15.6 mpg.

Yes. With the wider tires and spoiler, the EPA rating is about 10% lower than a Stingray. The rolling nature of Highway 280 probably take some MPG off, too (but is a pretty drive).

My best 50 miles thus far is from pleasant hill to abel chevy in rio vista - 27.8 MPG in a manual grand sport. I got 26.5 driving from angels camp to pleasant hill - that was with the ac on. hills definitely make a difference.

So far I have not been able to manage much above 25 on my 16 z51 on a trip. This is with me driving what i would call easy for me. Few full throttle blips along the way and always getting slowed down by a person that needs to be home.

My mileage agrees with the OP. I have run several experiments with and without V4 mode. The best mileage I have ever seen is 42.5. This was using cruise control at 60 mph from Hagerstown to Carlisle on I81. Traffic was minimal. This stretch of I81 is almost perfectly level other than going over a few overpasses.
I usually get around 30 mpg on the highway and 23-25 around town. I use my Range when driving in town but will turn it off when cruising on the interstate.

My peak mileage was 38 mpg taking my 16 Z51 from San Dimas, CA to Las Vegas, NV. I usually get into the thirties taking that route. I stay at the speed limit of 70 mph. People pass me up at 90 to 100 mph. I can't afford a speeding ticket. I got one in 2016 in my mini van. Not my vette. I have to wait 3 years before I can speed again. In 2019 I will be free to speed again.

Eco Mode in *6*th gear provides best MPG for the M7s in the hills, in 7th it has to swap back and forth from V4 to V8 too often for the climbs. I drove COS to ABQ multiple times and tested it getting about 34MPG at 80mph avg.

Wow. That's pretty good! I live in your area, but the best I can muster so far is 25 MPG. I only drive the car one day a week, but I feel like I'm filling it up every time I drive it!
I'll be going to Carlisle in August...we'll see if I can do any better for that trip!
