As mentioned by other members, get that car back to the dealership ASAP! Hopefully they will make it right with the misaligned panels. And someone did a terrible job with the touch up paint.

You're not missing the cover to the battery; it's the foam piece that has the tow hook declivity it it. AFAIK, no American C7s come with a tow hook, you will have to buy it.
It's a shame about the paint. It appears that someone did a crappy job of touching it up (to try and squeeze it by a new and excited owner?). Usually, the reason this problem shows up is because the panels are too tight. It looks like you were unfortunate enough to get one that just wasn't done correctly. I'd make them fix it properly including all the panels that are misaligned (should be covered under BTB warranty).

Given its brand new, the damage probably happened on the car trailer. I just discovered a spot on my front door rubbing and causing the same issue 1.5 years in. Looks like the dealer did the bare minimum to hide the damage and move the car off the lot. Now you know why the original top gear guys call Vettes plastic lol. One of the prices to pay for super car performance under 6 figures. ZL1addons make some good tow hooks. These are what I use.

Sent back to dealer and they are taking care of it. Always have faith in people but next time I will take my time to pick up the car. Some times, it's not the sales person since they barely know anything anyway but just to sell you car.

AFTER they agree to correct their issues, suggest a goodwill gesture on their part, say an oil change, ball cap,t-shirt,whatever you fancy if they value your repeat business and/or referrals.

Thanks for coming back and telling us about the potential outcome. It sounds like you took the advice of cooler heads on here and approached the dealer as a customer that wants their professional expertise. Good for you! I hope you enjoy the heck out of the car when you get it back.

If it's fixed right, a year from now you'll have trouble remembering it ever happened. And you'll still smile when driving it.

Typically during any pre delivery check, the document must be signed by both the dealer and the buyer. Did you get one of these that was signed? It's as much the responsibility of the dealer to go through that list as it is the buyer.

Unless the Dealer has a special pre-delivery form just for Corvettes, the general public's idea of "acceptable" condition is FAR different than a lot of Corvette owners.

This a common misconception but very wrong. You do not have a right to return a new car in California for any period of time. You can usually buy a right to return a used car, sold for under $40,000, for a period of two days. You must though pay for that right similar to insurance.

All that stuff is normal for a Z06. The paint chips are normal and they fix under warranty. The track parts are not normally installed for street driving. No tow hook is normal. The thing with the toe hook slot is the battery cover and just needs to be placed over the battery.

This is where you opened up the door for the Corvette Forum personal responsibility internet warriors to blame GM's questionable quality control, and known paint issues, on you. How dare you have children. Or a life. Or not be retired.
