Default Throttle body and CAI

Anybody out there who has been considering these two upgrades.... stop waiting a pull the trigger. Woke the car up immensely. Butt dyno is guessing at 10-20 hp and far freer revving. The inhale / stumble on throttle tip in / tip out is virtually gone. Did em both for 800 bucks. Fun and easy project in a poorly stocked garage. I can swap back to the original intake in about 30 minutes of work for smog purposes.

Vararam has multiple online vendors, all seem to drop ship directly from Vararam Industries. Mamo Motorsports website is a bit wonky, I called to discuss the TB with Tony and he gave me directions for payment. I didn't have a traditional item in cart and checkout; just a payment and then he shipped the TB.

If going the Vararam route The PCV / dry sump breather hoses are the only tricky part of the order. I was missing a hose on my initial shipment, but Vararam rectified it quickly.

Guys,

I have posted how to purchase my TB's online in numerous threads.....its fairly easy and straightforward and Im very responsive to emails and PM's.

The TB speaks for itself.....I have hundreds of very satisfied customers out there and modding doesn't get any better at this price point. Huge bang for the buck.....no tune....no compromised warranty

If you have any questions email or PM me....will get you sorted out almost immediatly

Pharaoh4269......glad you were pleased with your purchase.....it truly is an awesome upgrade!

Cheers,
Tony

I've got a ported throttle body, CAI and Corsa Exhaust and absolutely LOVE IT!

Curious if you performed all three upgrades at the same time? Notice a performance improvement adjusting the exhaust side relative to the intake?

I've got the itch to look at exhaust upgrades, at least Borla X pipe or another suitable.

These two mods are awesome together. I have Tony's TB & MSD Intake manifold ported and de-badged. I also run the Vararam CAI. These bolt-ons with a Borla X-pipe and Livernois 93 Octane tune makes my Grand Sport nasty. I am very happy I went this route. You cannot go wrong with these upgrades.

Are both upgrades necessary, or is one or the other sufficient? When does a tune become recommended or required?

Tony, what's your opinion on using your TB with a Vitesse and otherwise stock?

I did not....I first added the Corsa Extreme Exhaust, then the Cold Air Intake and finally the Ported Throttle Body.
