Default MRC Upgrade Recall Notice

2017 GS FE6
Upgraded a few months ago and now they are telling me that the upgrade I paid for and they installed was wrong. This is some crazy sh$%. Now I'll call them on Monday and set up an appointment for the right calibration. This should really clear up some of the issues we have been discussing. Log into your Chevy account and check if there is a message waiting. This is the screen shot of my account.

Me too- I just checked. My dealer service manager had a heck of a time figuring out how to do the download / call in thing in the first place...this is going to really get him going!

I might be wrong but don't think so. I believe this is pertaining to only the factory MRSC & only on '17/'18s & nothing to do with the customer option upgrade. Dealer needs to reflash the OE suspension setting not the upgrade. But I do wonder if they reflash the OE MRSC setting that will also then delete the customer paid for upgrade thus requiring the $350 deal again but surely at no charge. Catch 22, gotta get the OE (factory setting correct) before doing customer option upgrade maybe? PS: Just checked online at where you had the recall listed & it shows none for me ('16 Z). Not that it matters but just had the customer ($350) upgrade done last week.

Don't see any such message for my car (2017 GS FE6, new cal. #84421869). My recal was done on 05/16/18. What cal. # was installed in your cars?

Customer paid for upgrade # is 84375892 (at least for my '16 Z06). This is found on tis2web.service.gm.com after going there to verify one has had the proper upgrade performed. Again I believe the recall is strickly due to a FACTORY install of MRSC calibration, not the $350 upgrade.

Why am I NOT surprised? Pitiful.

Just one electronic C7 thingee I don't have to bother with, thank you GM. Wish I didn't have half the rest.

Only GM could have a recall on an upgrade. So does this software soften the ride?

These are the same people who say they're going to sell us a car that drives itself.

This is not a recall of the UPGRADE, just a recall of the way MRSC came from FACTORY for 2017/18.

I have the same notice.
This is confusing.
I paid for the upgrade and now need this?
I can't follow the above comments - does this new thing screw up the "upgrade" thing?

Why do you think this? And if you are right are you saying someone who had the upgrade should just ignore this notice?

Reading the OPs 1st post, the pics explains it is only for '17/'18 cars which from that I infer they are recalling due to malfunction in FACTORY calibration since there is no mention of the customer option for the $350 MRSC upgrade. I did wonder (in my 1st post) if doing the reflash to the OE calibration it might over-ride the customer $350 upgrade if it has been done because evidently the $350 upgrade over-rides the OE calibration. So, again I deduce that if you have done the $350 upgrade I PERSONALLY would ignore this recall so as to not wipe out what I paid for, cause then one could assume (oh-oh) you would have to do the $350 upgrade again (hopefully at no additional cost).I hope I am mostly clear on what I am saying.

I had MRC upgrade done a month back, 2017 Z here. There is no recall in my profile at my chevrolet. I guess the upgrade has the fix included for the issue in the base SW.

It also appears to me this has nothing to do with the MSRC upgrade. It looks like those who got this notice will get their original old calibration replaced by the upgraded calibration free.

It should be simple to determine if this recall is for updated MRC or Factory config. Has anyone that did not get the MRC upgrade get the recall notification?
I did not get the MRC upgrade (yet), and I have not gotten the notification. '17 Grand Sport, Built January 2017.
