Default Spring Mountain 7/27-7/28 - Anyone Else Going?

Took advantage of the two nights stay at the condos, free dinner, and SD card. Anyone else braving the heat?

Its funny...I was hoping to beat the heat, so I had mine scheduled in early May. Ended up hitting 103 & 106 the two days I was there...the hottest days by probably 10 degrees for a week before and a week after I was there. That said, the whole "dry heat" thing seemed true, as honestly 106 out there was still a LOT more pleasant than even low 90s in the Carolina humidity feels.

I was stationed at 29 Palms, CA, so I know what to expect heatwise. Last time I was in LV, it was 112, 114 at the dam! Fortunately, the cars have A/C, right? Haha.

Will certainly hydrate ahead of time. Water bottles allowed in the cars?

I'll be there on the 30 and 31st. Keep the tires warm for me.

Yes, they give you a water bottle when you check in that fits perfect in the cupholders to take during the driving sessions, and have two cold water dispensers to fill up as often as you like.

I grew up on the East Coast and lived in the Midwest, so I definitely know where you’re coming from.

Read on this site some time back that Michelin was testing all season tires on the Z06 at Spring Mountain, can you confirm? When I was there a couple years ago they were using Pilot Super Sports

I'm going 7/13 and 7/14, so just a couple weeks away. I've done the 3 day school there, also in July when the temps were 100+, but it's a very dry heat, not like the humidity in the East. Drink lots of water, no worries, and enjoy!

I went in August. You won’t have time for heat to be a factor. You’ll be in air conditioned dining rooms, classrooms and cars. The schedule is tight, the sessions fly by and you’ll be tired when they’re over. They give you a water bottle with plenty of opportunities to hydrate...it is encouraged.

Unless you literally stand outside in your free moments, and there aren’t many, your exposure to the elements will be somewhat minimal.

I just got back yesterday. You're in and out of air conditioning so much that heat isn't much of an issue. I think a Z06 behind me was having some high temperature issues but I heard the instructors on the radio tell him twice to back off the car ahead and get some fresh air in the front of it.

Same here in Southern Indiana. Been in the 90's with 85% humidity.. I think everyone skipped Spring and went straight to broil.

Sorry Ladies and Gents, 90 and dry here! It does get 100+ from time to time. That’s a dry 100+.

Just returned from a couple of scorcher days of 112+ but with single digit humidity, it's hot but far less oppressive than, say Houston at 85 degrees. They remind students to remain hydrated, and actual outdoor time is very limited.

Default Spring mountain

I just returned from 6/28-29 evolution at this outstanding school. Don’t worry about the weather you are either in a A/C classroom or a a/c cooled vette. You will be provided everything you need, including water, snacks, and very good meals. You should get ready for an experience of a lifetime.

anyone remember the name of the toolbox you can download for use with recorded sessions?
