What C7 drive mode shows gears for auto

My friends automatic Z06 displays the gears the trans is in. Is that something only a Z06 displays? I can’t get it to show up in any mode on my C7.

Manual. It only show D (no numbers) when in drive.

mine shows it in all modes I have a z 51 fwiw. 2016

All driving modes show the gear it is in. Just like in your picture, the gear it’s in is just to the upper left of the big D, which of course indicates it’s in Automatic, not manual.

what year is your buddy's car?
I have a 2015 Z06
no show?
is it a setting or? maybe has to be in Info mode or?

I have a 2015 Z51. I can see the gear if I am in manual mode but not in drive. I would love to see it when the auto is in charge. I am thinking it is something they added to later model years.

Mine is the same. 2016 Z51 A8 and I drive in Sport most of the time.

It may have been added in later years. My 2018 Stingray shows the gear no matter what mode I’m driving in.

My 14 does not have it in Auto, only in Manual mode, checked it this morning

Correct; our 2015 Z51 did not display this but our 2017GS does. That was the first improvement I noticed when taking delivery of our '17.
