Default Added roof stripe to extend stinger

I thought I had done the last of my mods months ago
Funny how you keep thinking of new ideas.
Decided to add a roof stripe to complement the factory hood stinger stripe.
Got the vinyl squeegee in the mail last night so decided to get it done today.
Rather than trying to cut the vinyl correctly and get it placed right on the roof,
I decided to use knifeless tape.
Simply mark off the design on the roof, place the knifeless tape where you want the stripe to go, place the vinyl down and than use the tape to cut out the correct design. If I ever need to replace the stinger stripe I feel comfortable to do it myself.
Total cost about $ 54.00.

squeegee was $5.00
Knifeless tape $18.00 (30 feet, I used about 8 ft.)
3M 1080 GP292 GLOSS GALAXY BLACK 5ft x 2ft (10 sq/ft) Car Wrap Vinyl Film $31.00

Added stripe looks good!

Always wondered if that knifeless tape worked as easy as they make it look on the various car customizing shows.

Nice job. Can’t say I have ever seen rear window louvre’s On a C7 before. Show some pics of those on the car.

Nice job...it looks really good.

I noticed that on the side of your car you put the old style Corvette Script Stingray logo above the fish logo. I'm going to do the same modification but I'm going to take off the Fish Emblem and replace it with the Script Stingray Emblem. I have already purchased the Script Stingray Emblems and removed the three pins.

My question is did you use the adhesive that was on the back of the emblem or did you something stronger?
And if you something else what was it?

And again the stripe looks great!

I just used the adhesive on the back of script emblem. Be sure to really grind down the locator pins...I've had the scripts on since Feb. 2014 and the are still holding strong.

Good job on the roof stripe, looks great!

Who sells the louvers?
Please provide a link to where you purchased them from. Thanks.

The extended stinger looks good. I like the lovers as well. How do they impact the rear visibility?

Hardly not at all. I only see the two bottom louvers, the rest are above the line of sight.
The bottom louver perfectly outlines the wickerbill...with the sides at the height of the
spoiler.
So only the second louver from the bottom is really in the line of sight.. but it is extremely narrow and does not obstruct anything.

Nice job! Looks great. I just put blade silver vinyl sides on an exposed carbon fiber top I picked up from a red c7. I also used the knife less tape, it works great.

Looks nice. I had never heard of knifeless tape before a month ago. It does do a great job.

The closest I've been able to find. My OEM stinger is 4 1/2 years old. In sunlight you can't really tell
any diff. At night, shining a flashlight on both, the new 3m vinyl GP292 seems to have a little larger metallic flakes....
Not sure if this is the case or my OEM vinyl stinger is just getting older and may have some weathering..
But in daylight, on the street, is extremely close... I'm keeping it.
