I Live around Chicagoland with summer temps from 50 degrees to 100 on a few days. The stock tint is ok but, I like a bit more. I plan on doing the top front and the sides. Do I also do the back endow?
Thanx all. Question --- what does "AS1line" mean? Just under the rear view mirror line of sight?
Kinda difficult to get a pic, but if you look near the drivers side edge, you will see a little "AS1" notation embedded in the windshield with a line to denote that area:
I have 35% on sides and backglass on mine. A visit for Tint and PPF is always the first stop when I bring a new vehicle home.
I'm going to skip the PPF. For $3,500.00 for the entire car, I'm not going to see a return on that money, for no more than I'm going to be driving it. I know $3.5K, is a killer deal too. In 10-years, or less, (the time frame I may own this C7) I'd rather have what $ invested makes for me.
IIRC, my tint was $399.00. It was an add-on my Chev. dealer already put on it.

Don't go too dark or you're asking to be pulled over A LOT by LE. Nothing pisses off LE more than ghetto tint. If they can't see you through the tint? You're scr#wed.

Maybe over there, but I’ve never been pulled over for tint and have been dark (15%) for many years.
I do not recommend very dark tint to folks either, this car came like that and I got rid of it before changing to my typical 15%, but even there I have never been pulled over (nor do I live in the ghetto)

Yeah...no way I would do the whole car, just too pricey, but I love having the front end protected.

it was VERY dark lol, I bought the car like that and before changing it out I wound up selling it. The new car got the 15% deal I usually use
funny, I said the same thing about using a spray can too

How much window tint?
ceramic tint seems easier to see though at a lower tint %
