Man, those chrome ZR1 wheels are stunning. I hope they come out with a reproduction set that is in stock C5 offsets and sizes or at least the stock C5 offsets. I would definitely put a set on my C5.

I don’t post much on the forum these days but this post has been cool seeing replies from old forum friends. Bringing back lots of great memories.
Hope you’re doing well!

How old are you? It seems like the over 50 guys like chrome. They associate black wheels with the old shitty car wheels when they were kids

I'm also curious whether the GM ZR1 wheels will prove to be any sturdier than the OEM GS wheels (and now some Z06 wheels in recent posts) that a few of us are bending in our routine travels.
I just (finally) did the math on these wheels as far as “where is that extra half inch on the fronts”
Grand Sport fronts are 19x10 +43 offset
ZR1 fronts are 19x10.5 +42 offset
So doing the math results in the ZR1 Wheel having 5.3mm more from the centerline towards the inner edge (towards the engine) and 7.3mm more from the centerline towards the outer edge to make up the extra .5”
Hope I explained that clearly. I’ve driven approx 150 miles since putting them on and all is fine.

I'm sure glad I don't belong to AARP so I'll pay the extra for chrome any day.
