I had roof popping issues with my C6, even after the updated latches were installed … I have had my C7 GS for 18 months with ZERO popping issues.

No squeaks, pops or noise of any kind from the acrylic roof on my 2016 Stingray.

My 2014 Lexan roof does pop in hot weather even after the 'fix'.

My 15 is popping bad especially when the temp gets above 80. Torqued the pins and and greased the rubber, Didn't help much. Took it into the dealer yesterday and they are ordering new pins. Adviser
said they have a 16 Z06 with the same problem so sounds that their aware it's common.

C6 Z06 had a non-removable roof. It's not possible for that the pop or rattle because it's bolted to the car. I'm pretty sure he's talking about the delamination issue.

OP specifically asked about the C7 Z06 popping.

Generally, there have been some popping/squeaking noises with the with the C7 roof on all the coupes, but not nearly as bad as the C6.
Our C6 transparent top squeaked and popped from the first day, all the usual fixes and some unusual ones too, would only cure it for a few weeks. Dealer didn't have any luck either.
We finally replaced the top at about 80k miles just to shut it up. New top was perfect until we traded the car at 102k miles.

Does the C7 Z06 pop like the C6 did. Why single out the Z06 if you're not talking about a Z06-specific issue? You can read it both ways.

My 15' acrylic roof popped like crazy. Dealer installed the new pins a couple years ago. It's been quiet since.

He's asking about the C7 Z06, probably thinking about buying one. Stiffer suspension might make it more (or less) prone to popping than base/Z51. Since he previously owned a C6, he would know about the popping problem and know that the C6 Z06 had a fixed roof that didn't pop.

Again, assuming we're not talking about the delaminating problem.

Maybe OP should clarify for us.

Wasn't the delamitation of the removal roof panel the issue in the C6? That would exclude the C6 Z06 from the issue.
