Default Necessity of C7 MRC update non-track use?

Question for those that are familiar with GMs MRC update . I have a 17 GS and am considering the MRC Magnetic Ride Control update programming at my local dealer. For primary use on the street is it really necessary to get this done? Would love to hear from owners that have had the program installed primarily for the street.

If anything, it is perhaps more beneficial for street use. It provides a less harsh ride over pavement imperfections.

It's not necessary for anyone. It did make a very nice difference in my daily driven 2014 Z51 though.

Glad I had my 2017 GS done. Noticeable improvement in Touring where mine stays mainly.

Certainly not necessary, nor is 460hp. It's just a matter of you wanting your car to be the best way GM offers it to be. A small sum to pay for the benefit IMO.

My 17 GS Z07 is not softer in tour, but it is in sport and track. Maybe the Z07 rear springs are too stiff to bring it down any softer.

I don't track, but I just completed a 3500 mile road trip after the MSRC update. It certainly seems like a more agile road car now. It's much more forgiving in rough road situations. The only part I did not care for was that it lightened up the steering too much. I just forced it to Sport Mode in the settings and it cleared that problem right up. I'm glad I did it.

In February I purchased a new 2017 Z 51 from Criswell Chevrolet. Mike Furman was the salesman. I highly recommend him. I recently had the magnetic ride update performed at my local dealer. No charge. Honestly I dont feel any huge difference, but I enjoy the stiff ride in Sport Mode most of the time.
