Default Finally got some wheels, just wanted to share

I had bought the 17inch conversion 3 or 4 days prior to seeing the add here on the forum so I knew it was meant to be.

Current Mods for hp
: Forged 416ci
: Custom grind weapon x centr cam
: Ported heads
: Lt4 injectors + Hpfp
: G1 pro manifold
: Kooks 2 inch coated headers and xpipe
Next will probably be a blower, either ysi or equivalent and low side fuel pump or meth.. maybe even both

I was thinking I wanted to powder coat the lips on the front wheels black but after putting them on I'm really liking them, I usually dont like chrome or polished.

What do you guys think

So this isn’t a criticism. I’m just curious.

Why go go to a 17 inch wheel? Are they better for racing?

I wish those wheels were able to be used for going around corners. I really like them.

I really like them I would like to do the same thing for a "drag pack" set up to use when I go to the track.

The rears are bead locks, This high hp ( higher then I currently have ) with the amount of grip the tire can spin around the rim slightly each time, the more this happens the easier it is to do.

More side wall equals more grip on the launch, you want the side wall so the tire can wrinkle and bite into the road for more grip, if you look at drag racing notice the amount of sidewall they have and the wrinkle of the tire when they take off. This set up would only be good for Mexico runs or going to the drag strip. On the track you would wont a thinner tire I guess you would say because with a lot of side wall means a lot of flex do to the weight of the car going around a corner you loose stability the more side wall / speed, that is why they come with such a thin side wall so you don't have that issue, more stability for greater cornering speeds..

Hope that makes sense, maybe someone else can chime in and describe it better then I did

Hmm...well... I absolutely love it! As soon as my warranty expires (2021, so I have time to collect perf parts), this will the same route I go. Which HPFP did you go with? The Kooks, short or long (I'm thinking short with high flow cats...need the cats)? Intake (prior to supercharger)? The 17s! Perfect. I was looking close at 15s, but those 17s appear just right. Weld?
I have the faster color (TR), so it's a given that you'll be looking at my taillights down the track. Well done!

Thank You!
Sorry, the hpfp is also a Lt4, the cam does have a bigger fuel lobe so I should be fine
Kooks are long tube 2'' non catted xpipe
Intake is a G1pro, Ill be keeping that intake because it will work really good with the centrifugal supercharger
I was also looking at the 15 inch conversion and decided I really don't need them and if I do I can always sell the wheels and buy the remaining parts to fit the 15's on the back since its part of the same kit. I'm happy with it so far and I don't have near enough power to break them loose as of right now
Yes they are weld S77's in the front and S77 Beadlock in the rear
For the faster color LOL.... I'll give you one haha

^ Your actions speak volumes sir.

Just come in my thread and post a whole for sale spread, don't even bother to say hey nice car if anyone's interested in some side skirts and splitters check out what I have to offer.

Theres a right way and a wrong way to do things, this definitely being the wrong way. I guess respect doesn't mean anything to some people
