Is the Borla X-pipe a LOT louder than the stock one?
First those of you who installed one, is the Borla X-pipe a LOT louder than the stock one? Or would you say not a whole bunch louder on an otherwise stock exhaust?

I did the borla x-pipe first.. much improved!
I did ARH mid length headers w/ high flow cats second (no change axle back) ..
Crazy loud! I definitely suffered permanent hearing loss during the Dyno tune!

I’d say about 20% louder.

Many of our customers start with an X-Pipe and then decide if they want an Axle Back
It's a pretty safe way to go because the OEM exhaust sounds decent as it is...
I have (8) 60547 instock right now

You will just say it is a little louder over the stock pipe. Really not that much at all. Robert

I think it's the best fit if you plan to keep NPP because the pipe diameters are the same as stock, compared to others. However, if I were to get rid of the NPP and let my right foot determine volume, I would have gone with the Corsa X-pipe and Xtreme axle-back system. I would have then added their black chrome exhaust tips for some nice rear end bling.

Not really any louder at idle. Slightly louder when you have it in track mode at low speeds. Noticeably louder at WOT. In Tour mode you would never know you have a catless X pipe.
The X pipe is like $400 shipped if I remember correctly. Install is super easy but if you don't want to do it yourself I would think a shop could get it done in under an hour. So $100 max for install. I would recommend buying new OEM donut gaskets for the front of the X pipe vs having to try and remove the existing ones from the OEM x pipe. It's nearly impossible to not damage them when removing them and they are already shaped to the OEM pipe. Hammering them on the Borla x pipe will damage them further. I went through the issue and ended up replacing them. Just skip the whole situation and pick up new gaskets. They are cheap.
