Had catistrophic accident today
While backing up my mother-in-law's driveway I clipped her recycle bin with my passenger side rear quarter panel. In the first picture below you can see the SEVERE DAMAGE that occurred as a result of the sudden impact! (well maybe not). I KNOW you can see the extent of the damage in the second picture below and be able to see why I am so distraught!. OK, MAYBE you can see the damage in the third picture taken with bright light and magnification of the carnage!
This leave me with a huge conundrum. Do I?
1. Sue my elderly 97 year old mother-in-law for reduced value? Surely she should have know I would be backing up in the vicinity she placed her recycle bin, thus bearing the responsibility for this accident.
2. Immediateley enroll in a remedial driving course.
3. Put the otherwise pristine 2014 coupe (only 7450 fair weather miles) in the body shop for a Full Restoration.
4. Just drive it!. It still puts a big grin on my face every time I pull out of the driveway!

Somehow, the local dealer had to be at fault...better contact a local lemon law attorney.

No need to be cold hearted and sue her. That would seriously **** off your wife. Since she is 97......just wait a while.

It's totaled. Trade it on a new Kia.

Would there be a stairwell that someone could accidentally fall down into?

Your options are clear. Junk it.

I'd be more worried about the damage from towing. There's no way you can drive that.

$$ Start a go fund me page. She's OLD, so maybe you could convince her that that SHE backed into YOU, and just forgot. Guilt her into changing her will. making you sole beneficiary.
