Default Assembly plant tour...

Sorry if repost. I subscribe to this guy's YouTube channel, and this video popped up.

He's actually got a ton of awesome (to me) videos explaining how things work on a car. Very basic stuff, he doesn't go too much in depth, but it does explain a lot using great visuals.

My son and I did this tour two years ago. Drove out from San Diego. Well worth it. Better then I ever imagined. Quite the road trip!

Plant should be back open the first quarter of 2019 so the talk is. Took the VIP tour in April of 2016 was great and very informative. Much more in depth than the regular tour small of about 4-6 people

Does anyone know why they have chains hanging above the bumps before it goes into alignment?

The tour is great. I can't wait to see it again with the new addition.

It will probably open again once the C8 is shown so if the C8 hits the car shows around the first of the year that when it will open again

When I bought my C6 back in '06 the NCM delivery included a plant tour. We did it before we took delivery and it was great. Told the kids we were going to BG to see the plant. They had no idea we were picking up a new Vette.

Chains appear to be there as a warning to someone who is tempted to walk in that area as the car is driven quickly over the suspension jounce and rebound area.

The tour is well worth taking - I've gone on 5-6 of them and always see something going on that I didn't notice the last time. Looking forward to the tours resuming and will have to make a trip down to BG again.

Yes, in other words to help settle the suspension.
