Many years ago, I was at a Sturgis gas station packed with bikers buying gas. I remarked to the owner, the motorcycle rally was certainly good for business. He smiled then said the Corvette rally was his 'true' favorite. Asking why, he said "bigger gas tanks". And so it goes.

Gorgeous pictures. Beautiful part of the country. I was just in the Black Hills and WY on a family vacation late June and the whole time I was there I wished I had my Corvette with me!

Thanks for sharing! It appears that the events in Spearfish went off without any weather concerns.

Were you also there for the Wednesday events in Sioux Falls? Those were impacted by poor weather conditions.

Went last year, it was a memorable trip. Thanks again or sharing the photos!

Black hills, devils tower, deadwood, spearfish

I stayed out of Sturgis looking to do this on a bike 2 years from now, it will be their 80th event.

Our most recent BHCC was 9 years ago, and the pics look like it's just as nice as back then.
We've been there 3 times and still have local places we want to see and visit.

I have purchased gas at that station for my C6 Z06. One reason for the higher price is that it is ethanol free.

Today, the price at that 66 station is $3.54.9 and other Top Tier stations with E10 in Spearfish are $3.49.9 at Conoco and $3.52.9 at Cenex.

No I drove from Nebraska on Thursday. I talked to some of the guys from Sioux Falls that were disapointed that their car show got rained out Wednesday night.

Never been in my Corvettes. I have road out 9 times from TN on my Harley's for the Rally. I was at the 70th, about 600,000 people, it was nuts. I was there for the 75th, over 1 million people, just crazy. The 74th was much more fun, only 350~400,000 in attendance. Much easier to get around.

Beautiful area.

I live 210 miles from Sturgis. Went every year from the 50th in 1988 to the 75th. After that I decided to many people. It is fun riding the roads in a Corvette that I used to take on a bike!

This was my 6th trip to the Rally. Seems to get better each year. Banquet had more attendees and a lot more people tried drag racing. Talked to folks who had hail Thursday in Deadwood but none in Spearfish. One Z06 had the trunk window broken but the hail did not damage the plastic bodies. Can't say the same for a Camaro--lots of hail damage to his metal car. C7R ran the fastest time at the 1/8 mile drags, 101 mph.

I have read that the extra crowds for the 75th was overwhelming, you are confirming that. I might have to change my plans.

They really were overwhelming for the 75th. The years ending in 0 and 5 are the bigger years, but none that I have been to have been close to as busy as the 75th.
