Base Stingray with Z06 appearance
Hi I'm looking at c7s and I love the look of z06s. I know there's the option of the grand sport but it's still too much. What would be the process of making a stingray look like a z06..I'm not trying to copy it and wouldn't pose as one such as putting fake badges on. I just genuinely love the look of them, but it's out of my price range.

If you just want a few of the styling touches ( Z06 spoiler, front splitter, side skirts), it can be done relatively cheaply.
If you want the widebody (with the wider wheels/tires), you'll spend less just buying a GS straight away.

Not sure why you would mount the plate behind the grille? Are you thinking that once the air gets to the grille it will somehow go on through and not restrict the air flow as much as with the plate out in front?? I opted for putting the plate in front, but trimming the mount down so the air can still flow around each side..

never had a problem with air flow and cooling on 95 degree days here, which is not too common.

Z06 tails ~$600.
Z06 Quarter Vents ~$200 (more for carbon fiber).
Z06 Grille (OEM) for ~$200. (sitting in my garage, plenty of pics here)
You can do cheap carbon fiber splitter and skirts for ~$700 (less for non-carbon fiber, splitter sitting in my garage, waiting for skirts to be in stock).
Stage 2 spoiler in carbon fiber for ~$400 (less for non-carbon fiber and only ~$150 if you just add the Stage 2 wings to an existing Z51 spoiler).
So here's the change in appearance from just a Stage 2 spoiler and quarter vents. Already much more aggressive (I also just like that it tones down the yellow. Also want to wrap my mirrors in CF and add a CF stinger).

If that's what you want then go for it and save a little, but don't fool yourself into thinking it will look like a GS or Z06.
