In addition to the accumulated classroom and driving education at Spring Mountain, the single most helpful evolution for me was the "ride along" with an instructor running the course. That event definitely re-calibrated my "C7 limit sensor", allowing better performance. Before the ride along, I was ready to back off long before the car was. While I am nowhere near what the 30 year old instructor (who ran the course while drinking a cup of coffee) was able to wring out of the car, I am comfortable that there is room till my limits reach those of the car.
