I have 72,600 miles on mine and am on my third set of tires. Mine have always worn evenly all the way around. I rotated on the first set and have not on the last two sets. I am at 32,000 miles on my second set of A/S Michelin 3 plus ZP tires and down to 5/32. It has never made any difference with me. As an aside I have never had an alignment and they wear evenly across the tread. I guess the were aligned properly at the factory. I don't want to chance the rim damage with a mistake in handling.

Such a useless, dumb response. In the time it took you to type that stupid response, you actually could have helped the guy that posted his FIRST question on our Forum... Nice way to welcome someone new...
As for your question - yes you are supposed to rotate from side to side - not back to front, as they are different sizes on the C7 regardless of which model you have. Joe does make a very valid point. Several folks on the forums have claimed shops and dealerships have ruined rims due to mishandling, so you have to weigh your options... If you do, make sure you see what recourse they offer BEFORE you have any shop do the rotation or just do it yourself. Plenty of videos out there to show you how to properly jack up a C7.

I rotate mine on my '15 Coupe. Michelin and Corvette engineers recommend rotation. They've spent millions developing tires for the Corvette and probably know a thing or two. There's more to wear than being uneven across the tread. Cupping or wearing a wedge shape on the tread blocks can occur and can be reversed by rotation, especially if caught early. Probably a name for that but I don't know it. Some claim no need to rotate. Some claim their car feels loose or twitchy after rotation. I've never experienced any of that. I just follow the OM.

I had the dealer do the free rotation on both of my C7s when due and they destroyed 36 lug nuts with the impact wrench, even after they were warned ahead of time. They did replace them but I installed them, needless to say.

LOTs of (ignorant?) joking in here, but the OM actually recommends this be done every 7500 miles side to side.
Many of us have done it with mixed results. I did it on my first set, and HATED it. It felt like a squirrel was driving and a huge helium balloon was tethered to the front end for another ten thousand miles.
Needless, to say, I won't ever do it again.
Instead, I make sure every measurement on my alignment is as close to zero as possible. The car comes with a very aggressive alignment that WILL show cords on the inside edges long before the outside even shows wear. Most of us will never see a track, so having a track alignment out of the gate is rather silly, IMO.

Not a dumb response at all, he should be reading it...then asking questions. Gm knows more than some forum.

Should I rotate the tires on my 2015 Stingray corvette?
No, total waste of time.

I do it primarily because I DIY swap between PSS and AS3+ tire sets twice a year in my own garage. I simply keep track of which tires were on which side, and when I make the swap I put each tire on the opposite side. Thus, it means no extra effort or cost to me and no possibility of dealer/tire shop damage.
Theoretically, changing the direction of rotation should indeed produce longer wear, although it may not make a huge difference. I don't think it makes any difference in terms of wear across the tread pattern, that's an alignment issue. I've done it many times now, and I never notice any difference in terms of how the car feels.
