always rinse the car before you apply any soap, cleaner whatever.
I have not tryed waterless-but I have used Adams detail spray for many years on a dusty car with no problem.
I don't like mitts or any cloth to wash with, I use a horse hair brush of syn horse hair brush.
I have been using these brushes since 1987 (not the same one)
My thought is that the brush will lift dirt, less likely to rub in the dirt.
black, electron blue and a white C7 with the exposed carbon hood. Yes white is easy but the exposed carbon fiber hood looks like
it would show scratches real fast.
I also use a clear spray twice a year on the car. Make cleaning very easy. I will look up the name and edit this post. Spray on BLACKFIRE Crystal Seal

Spent the weekend detailing the exterior of my wife’s black ‘15 Z51 DD. Here’s what I did:
- Sprayed on Iron X
- Rinse with plenty of water
- Washed car with foam cannon
- Clayed they car
- Polished the car using a DA polisher with multiple grades of pads and polished
- Prepped the surface with CarPro Eraser
- Applied two coats of CarPro C-Quartz ceramic coating
- Applied one coat of CarPro Reload sealant

I plan on doing almost the exact same steps on my Pewter C5 when I find a weekend that is not overly hot. Did you learn this technique from Obsessed Garage on YouTube? I have never used Iron X before but the C5 has not had a good polishing for about 10 years.
Nice work that Black really looks wet for sure.

I have the whole car covered in XPEL Ultimate, then had OptiCoat Pro Plus covering the whole car. To keep it fresh I wash it with Zaino Z7, use Zaino Border Free Towels to wash and dry. Afterward I put on multiple coats of Z5 and Z2 (with ZFX) using the Zaino Applicators. I wipe the car down with Z6 and Zaino Border Free Towels. Occasionally I clay the car with Z18.
I do the whole Zaino spiel on my Focus ST as well (it does not have XPEL or OptiCoat).
