Tire Temperature Display

Tire temps are split into three categories: cold (below 45 degrees), warm (45-115 degrees) and hot (above 115 degrees). In "cold" mode ABS intervenes sooner and more progressively, while the differential is more aggressive to limit inside wheelspin. As temps increase, ABS control intervenes later and becomes more lenient, while differential locking ramps up more slowly."

They changed the tire temperature categories on the newer C7s, as on my 2018 I have seen the display show COLD, COOL and NORMAL. I'm assuming there is also a WARM and HOT display too but I've never seen it go higher than NORMAL so far. So it appears they've broken it down a bit more precisely compared to the earlier C7s.
There are some subtle changes on cars made for Canada, I wonder if the 2018 US versions read the same way.
FWIW, our US 2017 still says cold/warm/hot.
When I plugged a Valentine "Savvy" unit into the OBD port so it could read the car speed for low speed muting, the tires would read Warm even after sitting outside overnight with frost on the car, and OnStar couldn't read my diagnostics.
So I got rid of it promptly.
