Lol … yeah you can bet the manufactures have looked at catch can technology. Its only been around for 80 or 90 years.

Imagine getting Joe executive who probably doesn't even open the hood checking his catch can. Would not happen and gm would have a service nightmare. Catch cans fill at different levels depending on how they drive. I'm sure they are happy with mileage as it is with CAFE, but perhaps when they get even more strict this expensive and "comex" fix may make sense.

Ford is testing 100k mile catch cans, trying to avoid the valve coking thing.
