Default How far should exhaust tips stick out?

I just had a muffler delete done on my car and I believe the tips are sticking out too far. I didn't think to measure the stock ones first. Right now they are about 1 3/4" past the bumper. Could someone please measure theirs?

Don't have a C7 to measure, but they look like they stick out a bit far to me. However, not sure how you would get them placed further inward.

This is the way it should look with Corsa, just enough to see the Corsa

Thanks guys. I'll cut the pipes back some and have the installer expand them again to fit over the inlets of the tips

Your tips are too far outside the valance if you’re looking for an OEM-like appearance. I aligned my Corsa tips (Xtremes) nearly flush with the bumper... If your tips were welded, you can still move them in a little by loosening the X-pipe and tailpipe clamps and adjusting to your liking.

I made sure the installer welded nothing, this way I can swap back to my npp mufflers anytime with just a clamp on each side. This will be an easy fix. Just cutting the pipe where the tips clamp on and reflare the end.

There is no welding to be done when you install these. Its just cutting and clamp. It t comes with instructions with a template telling you how much to cut and looks like to me the installer did not cut off enough.

Much more than this looks a little strange IMO.

Looks like buck teeth, lol.

As you said already, shorten them up.

Funny but agree get them set back to just have to look hard to read the name on the end. Robert

It will be taken care of this week. I was just so excited to have it done that I didn't pay attention to the details. I'm coming from a c6 with long tubes, no cats, and borla mufflers. This thing was way too quiet for me
