$70k-$100k car, and you're worried about gas mileage? I get the curiosity, but you're actually considering taking off the wickers to save a mpg or two?

Put the car in Eco mode? Steady cruising with 1/2 the cylinders has got to be worth 2 to 3 mpg. Also ensure tire pressure is correct.

Speaking for myself, it's not really a priority. But it certainly is nice to have, and it's a great demonstration of what the technology in the car is capable of. I wouldn't take parts off the car over one or two mpg though.

My 460hp, 6.2L V8 gets significantly better highway gas mileage than my wife's 2.3L 244hp I4 Mazda It's good for a chuckle if nothing else.

It's truely a curiosity issue, in the case I'm not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze if it's less than a 1mpg now if it was proven to be 3-5 then it might be a consideration.

Also don't understand why it comes down to a money issue of how much the car cost, there's a reason I could afford the car just don't wanna **** money away. My .02 cents.

Probably not, unless you are going to be driving a lot of miles. Since those 'Whale Tails' cause drag aerodynamically.

Noone likes to P money away but really, for a tank whats the difference $ wise?
Dont let the car own you, live a little.

Pets and hotrods are worth it.....dont talk to me about marriage or kid$. lol

Current toy literally gets $20 for 20 min of run time..broke as hell and its still worth it every time.
