Default Is 6'4'' too tall for a C7?

I really like the looks of a C7 but all my friends say I'm too tall and to get a C6. What say you?

I am 6'2" and there is plenty of head room. Even more with the transparent top. I wear a 33/34 inseam and if it were a couple inches more it might become tight.

I'm 6'2" and I'm very comfortable. Seat is all the way back, a few inches of clearance above my head. The end result is you should go sit in one at a dealer and see if you can fit. I think it's doable. In another thread a guy that was 6'6" said he fits and is comfortable. It's your call if you're comfortable or not.

I will add this. I had a 2004 z06 for 3 years before my new 2019 Grand Sport (2200 miles now). The z06 was a beast but I can't even put into words how kick a$$ this thing drives. Love the seats, cabin, everything about it is just awesome. So I'd try to make it work. Driving mine is an experience of a lifetime, every time I get in it.

Yeah, maybe they are trying to be nice instead of saying I'm too fat. 300# 40" waist

Only way to know for sure is to go and try to sit in one yourself.

I’m 6’3” and fit very comfortably at 235# and 34” inseam. These seats have a lot adjustment possibilities.

Friend of mine is 6’6”. His helmet was a problem at Spring Mountain, but other than that, he seems to fit fine in his C7.

I'm 6'4", fit fine. Go on long trips with no problems.

I believe it comes down to your expectations as to what "fit" is.

6'4", 270 lbs.

Smaller than my c6 was, but doable. Just finished a 4000 mile road trip. 25k miles in the last 10 months.

I'm 6'4" and weighed 300 when we had ours two years ago. 33" inseam, 42" waist, larger near the belly button.

It was for my wife, not me. Too tight for my taste. You wear it, you don't ride in it. I preferred to drive my Grand Cherokee. We had a 2007 Z06 and there was a touch more room in it. Other than that it was a nice car, but after the novelty wore off it wasn't for me. I sat in a 911S and with the seat back it had a bunch more room. But we aren't Porsche fans so we never got one.

YMMV.

Their is a way of adjusting to get the Max out of what you have.A routine of:Forward all the way then, lower down all the way, then adj slide back as needed.Something like that
Or the Extra Inch when all else fail's...
Get that C7!

Don't believe your friends … 6'5" and I fit just fine in my 2017 GS. No headroom issues at all.

For those of you folks that are in the 265 / 270 weight range how are the touring (base?) seats for comfort in a longer trip. In my shopping I have test driven several types of performance cars. Although I have not driven a Corvette yet I have sat in a couple now and found them somewhat tight but comfortable. My concern is how does it feel after 4 to 8 hours?

I’m 6’0” and if feels like it was perfectly built for my height with plenty of room for someone taller. It has never felt the slightest bit tight to me.

I’m 230, so YMMV, but I think the seats are great for long distances. Like and sports car, they bend you at the waist so you are more sitting flat on your butt than sitting in a chair. That can be less comfortable than a suburban, but isn’t really avoidable. Padding is good, and the seat air conditioners may not be noticeable initially, but they are nice once swamp butt kicks in. I have driven the car from Wichita, KS to Bowling Green (and back) and from Phoenix to Wichita. The impression I came away with was that this is an excellent road trip car.

I’m a mere 73”, 235 #, and fit fine without a helmet. At the COS I barely fit with a helmet due to a longer upper torso. Another driver was 77” and didn’t seem to have a problem. I guess my point is, it’s not just your height that might be an issue, but how you’re put together. Go sit in one and decide for yourself if you fit or not.

The seats are NOT air conditioned (cooled), but rather VENTILATED which means no cold air flows through them, just air.
On the other hand, the seats in my 2018 Genesis G80 Sport have heated and COOLED seats.

All body types are different. You'll just have find one to sit in. As an aside, my son wanted a C7. Only trouble is he is 6'9". But where there is a will there is a way. He had a custom seat made for him and it works great in his Z06 C7!
