It's not only that, when I'm walking away from the car I always have to turn around to look at it again, and I always love what I see. The origami styling of the car is just SO utterly badass. I think it's the best looking Corvette in the long storied design history of the marque - which is quite a compliment, the cars have ALWAYS been gorgeous - but nothing matches how killer a C7 looks coming at you. This car is a joy and a revelation to drive and simply to own.
One of the best adages about car ownership I've read is 'If you don't turn around to look at your car every time you walk away from it after you park, then you own the wrong car.'
Took the Corvette to the grocery store today and as usual parked out of harms way. On the way out there was a father and a 5 year old boy standing beside the car staring at it. I told the boy Anrde that it was a Transformer and I put the top down with the remote. Then I let him sit in it while Dad took his picture. After all the thank yous I fired it up, opened the exhaust and let him hear that beauty sing when I took off. Made that kids day and it only cost me 2 minutes.
Awesome thread! bi-polar automobiles here too (but with matching stickers...) The folding fat tire e-bike is a ton of fun too, and gets almost as many looks and comments as the Z06!
As a long time cyclist, the e-bike thing is intriguing, but I can't go there, I ride primarily for fitness. I'm primarily a roadie, but my new Santa Cruz XC MTB is below.
Nothing wrong with Prius and such. Horses for courses and all that.
Also I am another cyclist here... mostly on road but also MTB. More recently many of us are doing gravel rides on cross and gravel bikes. We used to do these on MTBs back on the day but horses for courses again... and now organized gravel rides are a thing. Plus we get away from texting drivers who will run you over in a heartbeat. I have my Lynskey Cooper CX set up with tubeless 38mm tires.... what a great ride.
Also intrigued by e-bikes. When I retire (soon) I may repurpose one of my old bikes and build it up with a mid drive kit. Build your own and you get away from mandated low power limits and go pretty fast.

As soon as you hit your late 50's you'll be hearing from them. When I first started getting their mailings, I didn't like it and tossed it all in the trash and wondered why they were sending all of that stuff to me. I'm 60 and I've been on their mailing list for well over 10 years.
I too am a C7/Prius "bipolar" owner.....love them both as each does so well what they are designed to do at a price that
allowed me to do both....well done. As for the Mets (sorry born and raised in NJ) and grew up keepin' up with the Boys in
Da Bronx, I admire your loyalty.
I don't have to tell you to enjoy, you said that quite well yourself; keep on keepin' on.
Can't tell you how many times I've "popped the hood" at gas stations,
let a "little or big kid climb" in at a rest stop, given a little "throttle blip" for
a kid hanging out of a car window or just given a "thumbs up" to someone
caught staring ...
My personal favorite is when I can see the cell phones come out and they
take pic with the car. On a recent trip to the OBX we stayed right on the beach.
I bet you we watched 100 people take bathing suit pics from our Hotel Balcony

Exactly.
Interesting observation. I have done that with my 370Z plenty of times (which is a nice design but NOTHING like the the Corvette design). I imagine I'll miss it when I've sold it but I expect my neck to get a workout much more often when my Corvette arrives in October.
Coming here makes me so tempted to go out a buy the C7. I've always wanted to to buy a vette but I test drove a C6 last year and the interior was a big letdown as I have been driving luxury cars since a younger age. So I decided I will wait for the C7 to hit the magic number. It will be my first American car after owning 7 Japanese ones, I cannot wait!
