CorvetteForum dealers...

The top two are Kerbeck and MacMulkin and unfortunately they are on the complete opposite side of the country. I don't know of any in CA. You can purchase from them and have it shipped. These guys are top notch dealers to work with. They make it really easy for you.

Fly to Philly. Kebeck's man will be waiting for you with a professional looking sign at the airport and will take you to Atlantic City. Sign the papers and you can drive home... great road-trip. Many have done so, even to Cali. In fact, two guys from the Forum flew in the week before me and drove a new Z home to Calif. yesnod:

Besides Kerbeck and MacMulkin, check the forum vendor directory for other dealers. Another large one is Criswell Chevy in MD.

My experience says stay away from Boardwalk. I got a quote from them and then they didn't answer my calls or emails when I wanted to put my money down/

Same experience I had when I ordered my 2014 in late 2013. Although they had my deposit but never returned calls nor emails. I canceled the deposit and went with someone else

I had the opposite experience with Boardwalk in 2016/2017. Tim Boone not only gave me a great price, he discounted it another $1K when the car arrived because he had incentives to use. Tim is no longer with them.

Bought mine at Boardwalk. Matched the lowest forum price I could fine. Took 30 minutes to negotiate. Took me longer to pick between two cars than to settle on a price.
I did have my credit union lined up. No trade in. I knew the exact car, they actually had two of my spec, so there wasn't a lot to go back and forth on.

I bought two C7 ( a GS and a Z06)from Boardwalk.
YMMV. You have to negotiate and they triage for the likely buyers, but everything was more or less fine- obviously I went back second time, cross shopped Capitol in San Jose. Ask for Mike.
Did two of my free oil changes there with no probs either.
edit: take Boardwalk off your lists...no good! Will explain in a separate post why I’ll no longer defend them.

They are located in Rio Vista and a steady stream of Corvette owners bypass other of Chevy dealers on their way to Abel.

I see you are from Garden Grove. I found the Chevy dealers down here did not want to deal. Nor did they return emails or phone calls. I thought about Boardwalk but their reviews were inconsistent so I didn't feel confident with them. Mike Furman from Criswell is simply the best. I don't think I ever had to wait more than 10 or 15 minutes for him to respond to an email or a phone call. That was my number one requirement in a salesman and Mike excels at returning messages. Criswell does charge a documentation fee (or something similar) where the other top two don't (I believe). Even with the courtesy delivery fee and the documentation fee I still saved over $4000 from the dealers down near where you and I live. Mike is the number one Corvette salesman in the world for a reason. He made the process very simple and his reputation is first class. One thing I wish he could've helped with was the timing but that was out of his hands obviously. If you have to order a car the waiting can be excruciating. But if one of the dealers down here has what you want on the lot then you can probably negotiate an even better price than a forum dealer. No one had what I wanted so I special ordered mine. Good luck and if you have any other questions let me know. I remember going through the same process six months ago and I had lots of questions and concerns. A good salesman will alleviate any worries. I can't recommend Mike Furman enough.

Regarding out of state purchases from California dealers......
I’ve read that one must pay the California sales taxes on any car purchased there as well as the state taxes of your own state once you get the car home. Not 100% sure on this, but it’s obviously worth checking out if you’re leaning in that direction. FWIW.
