2015 Vette not starting
Hi all, I live in Florida and have been having problems getting my 4000 mile vet to start many of times. The other day I had the charger on for 3 days. Took off charger and the next day it wont start. This has happened numerous times. Any ideas? Could something be running while the car is off? Thanks,
Garry

What happens when you push the start button? Does the starter engage or do you just hear a click? How old is your battery?

Your battery is trying to tell you it's going to the land of the banished electrons......

Buy a new car battery! 2014 is 4 years of battery and it's probably toast.

Battery or starter depending on what it's doing. Had my starter replaced at 15k miles or so, luckily still under warranty. We just replaced the battery a few months ago...

Another vote for the battery--I have a '14 and replaced mine this spring.

Probably due for a battery, but might be worth sticking an ammeter inline with the terminal and seeing what the sitting load is like (that can be tough on a new car, you have to wait a while). Maybe you DO have a draw, but can't know if you don't check!

Take to Chev. dealer. Battery replacement good for 3 yrs / 36K, miles. After that, it's on you.

[QUOTE=girard12;1597907260] Any ideas? Could something be running while the car is off? Short answer yes, just like many home electronics, things are running drawing a minuscule of electricity. Our cars have computer(s) that draw some. That's why OM recommends using battery maintainer (CTEK or one that comes with our car for option) when not starting/driving for a week or so. As others said, probably time for a battery. I believe battery can test good but still will not hold a charge. Good luck! PS: Beautiful Car!

Wish people would differentiate between "not cranking" and "not firing"
"Not starting" is kinda useless IMHO.....

Any competent repair shop will be able to diagnose for sure with only a little testing.

If a battery has been attempted to charge and should be charged.A simple load test will diagnose if indeed it's the battery. They are cheap and easy to use.

If you're still running the original battery, my guess is you probably need a replacement.
They don't last forever. Not starting should have given you a big clue.
