Anybody regret installing the xpel or any of the clear paint protections on the market today.

Has Xpel Ultimate on my past two 'vettes (C6 and C7).

When my GS gets here, first thing it's getting is pretty much condomized in Ultimate too

I’ve had it on mine since I bought it over 4 years ago. Zero regrets.

That sounds good. I had the front bumper done on my 2005 when I got it new. I wasn’t too thrilled with the look then but I was thinking the technology of the product must be much better now? I am getting a new 2019 GS and was contemplating doing most of or the whole car but I haven’t seen any new ones in person.

Any Corvette gatherings in your area? That's the best place to see installs in person. I like to look at other installs to see how mine looks in comparison.

Can't imagine why anyone would have regrets assuming the install was done correctly.

Had the entire front end of my 2014 Z51 done, entire front fenders, entire hood, headlights, front fascia, rockers, mirror fronts, door up to cove, door trailing edges, door "handle" pockets, rear fenders (including quarters), leading edge of spoiler. Sold it a couple of weeks ago and it looked new (no swirls at ALL thanks to Xpel Ultimate's reflowing clear coat.

Great stuff and I swear by it

My C6 and C7 both have the Ultimate on front fascia, rockers, and mirrors. C6 was done 5 years ago, C7 a little over 3 years now. Both done by the same installer, and I feel the C6 install was a bit better as there were not as many bubbles immediately after install. However they all went away eventually and I've not had any edges lift so I'm happy. I would do it again, however the self healing they claim is subjective - some dings seem minor but won't heal using the methods suggested by the installer, especially on the C7. Still way better than nothing though.

Some of the best money you will spend. Invisible to the eye and bugs dirt wipe right off. Saves $$$ from chip damage.

I have Xpel on my DD and 3M clear bra on my C5. No regrets at all - sure keeps the paint looking great.

Does the car have the same amount of shine with the film over it as does when it comes off the dealer's floor? How much does something like that cost (for the whole car)? How far off would I be if I guessed $3500?

Mine is 100% wrapped as well. Greatest thing ever! No more paint maintenance. Perfect swirl free paint all the time! I got swirls on the front from washing bugs off. Wash with hot water or leave out in sun and all swirls magically disappear. Every wash with hot water is like a full paint detail. It does add a little distortion to the paint and no install that I've seen is 100% perfect so you will get the minor flaw in the film here and there. In my opinion, the benefits far outweigh the negatives. Here is a shot of the car with the film.

You're going to have to shop to get that price. Since there's no pricing consistency in marketplace, you're on your own. The next challenge is getting warranty work done. Get a copy of the contract and read it, before jumping off the deep end.

$3500 is about right give or take a couple hundred dollars.

Very good product. I did my 2019 GS by "BodySkins, com" out of Elgin,il. He does an excellent application of Expel.

Just had mine done and very pleased.

Only regret is that I couldn't do it sooner, mainly because mine is close to a daily driver...

I see good reviews from this place in Houston. Planning to get my Xpel done here. these prices seem to good to be true compared to $3500. Am i reading this wrong?

I was worrying about the loss of the wow factor with the shine of the finish after it is installed. And yes I'm sure there are always some imperfections no matter how good the installer is but are they the kind that you walk up to everyday and are in your face or the kind that eh there there but so unnoticeable that it is outweighed by the positives.

People can regret spending the money and wonder if it was worth it. I have my entire front end and rockers covered. Here are some possible cons:

- Must be careful around automatic touchless car washes (they could lift the film)
- I see two rips in my film from rocks (these won't self heal). Off course still better than taking shots directly to the paint.
- Trade in value is still the same regardless if you had xpel or not
- Bumper repaint (if desired costs less than wrapping the whole font end)
