I loved chrome wheels 50 years ago. They will be back in the next 10 - 15 years.
Back! Where have they gone? Chrome wheels have always been "IN" to some extent.
Black wheels are the johnny come lately and if you follow car media/advertising etc the craze over the last 5-6 years is stating to cool.
To me, black rims always come across as dirty wheels.
I feel the same way. No offense to those that like black wheels, but I just don't care for them. They make a car look dirty. They have no "pop" to them.

Black doesn't look "bad" IMO close up, however blends in with the dark wheel wells from a distance and adds nothing to the overall beauty of the car.
I feel the same way. To me, black wheels when seen up close, not moving, when light is hitting them and not cast in a shadow with a big red caliper behind them, they look fantastic. That said, most of the time you just cant see them as they create dark voids in the wheel wells. That said, I am not really a fan of the polished chrome either so this time I around I went with the Pearl Nickel finish, which seems like a nice compromise. You can actually see them from a distance and they we no extra charge. If I get tired of them I can always get them powdered coated.

The chrome wheels totally change the look of the car, it looks much Better IMO. You can ask the question (who likes chrome and who doesn't) a hundred times and get the same answers from the same people. Some like chrome, some don't, "to each his/her own".
