I had a 1992 Yamaha motorcycle that when you activated the turn signals, they would turn off after 20 seconds or so, OR if you had ridden for a coupe, af hundred yards. Why can't car manufacturers do the same?

Your Corvette does warn you.

Turn Signal on Chime

A chime sounds if the turn signal
has been on for more than 1.2 km
(0.75 mi) of driving.

If you need to leave the turn signal
on for more than 1.2 km (0.75 mi),
turn off the signal and then turn it
back on.

Definitely got spoiled with some of the tech in our Scat...

The Vette needs blind spot monitoring and back up sensors would be nice. I miss adaptive cruise control for sure! Auto wipers and headlights are great too! It just amazes me the things our Charger has that the Vette doesn't! It even has a heated steering wheel.

But, I do love the passive door locks on the Vette

Improve armrest construction so elbows don't damage. No excuse for this!
Reconfigure or relocate hatch release button so it's not accidentally hit when entering/exiting.

Auto sensing wipers.
Manual mechanical override up/down on infotainment screen.
Allow to turn on/off AFM in auto equipped vehicles.
Option to allow PDR to auto start when put in drive.
Option to allow PDR to delete oldest file when SD card is getting full.
PDR to automatically close recording file when reaching limit size and open a new one automatically.
Selectable suspension height.
Allow throttle response to be a selectable item like NPP .
Web interface to infotainment system to allow for configuration.
Those are some excellent suggestions.

Until that happens, the next best thing is simply looking at the rear view camera as you start to back out of a space. At least on mine, it gives a pretty wide-angle view enough to see quite a bit of the oncoming cars approaching from either side in back of me. And that suffices until I can see the view from the little side window in back of the passenger seat.

Regrettably mine is a '15 - no front cameras.

It's not just the next best thing, IMHO it's the solution. Works fine. NashvilleGrandSport, does the backup camera somehow not show you what you are looking for?

Like the OP suggestions...

Vert Owner here and would add:

* Able to put top up from FOB
* Able to put windows up from FOB
* 1 Touch Top Up/Down instead of holding...
Each of these configurable....

I know "Safety Issues", but these are a PIA...lol, also, I get it would put a couple of vendors out of business, but it sure would make the car more convenient.

These are really minor/petty cause I LOVE THIS CAR. I had a 50th Anniversary AE Vert prior and also have a 78 Pace Car (up for sale) and I can honestly say this is an outstanding car.....even without these "wishes"

Gobble-de-gook? You mean everything that makes the C7 run well and compete with the worlds other supercars?

Already mentioned BLIS, Crosstraffic alert in reverse, PDR management in vehicle, improved cup holders, improved seat belt tensioner.

Add blind spot warning! Damn near got killed twice on entrance ramps. Cross track warning, blinker chevrons in the rear view mirrors and heads up display and PUT A CD PLAYER BACK IN! Our 30K Subaru has these things and the 80K C7 doesn't............

In order of importance:
  • Allow the HUD option to be added to any trim level
  • Redesign the gas filler tube system that doesn't constantly shut off the gas pump at most gas stations
  • Offer an optional behind the seat organizer cargo tray
  • Much better cup holders!
  • Better seat belt tensioners.

Indeed I forgot one touch seat #1/#2 movement instead of having to hold it. I don't see how having two hands on the wheel after tapping say #2 is less safe than having to hold #2 while having one hand on the wheel.

BTW as the sole driver of my C7, I have seat position #1 as the normal driving position and #2 as the laidback, cruise position. So when I'm on the hwy I often hit the cruise button then tap (and unfortunately hold) the #2 seat position. Then within say 1-2 miles of a turn off the hwy I hit (and hold) #1.

Camera on either side, instead of mirrors. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/le...ocialflowFBCAD
Have the left/right turn signal on the steering wheel.
Rear hatch open latch-returned to the C6 location. I often pop it open with my knee!
Automated Emergency Braking.
Parking sensors. Front/Rear.
Remember last driving mode!

Rain sensing wipers, really missed that from my bmw. Auto indexing side windows for when hatch is popped. Carbon fiber center console if getting carbon fiber dash. Blind spot mirrors or side cameras, gear selection shown in hud while in drive. Paddle on A8 that shift up and down on both sides...again miss that from bmw. Manual shifting on a8 from stick. Ac vent that went directly to vented seat fan. Brighter hud.

Some good ones in there but on my M7 I see what gear I'm in in the HUD. That's probably just an automatic thing eh?
