I took mine off to make way for the "Retro Look" of the Mid-Seventies Stingray Script.

I want to black out my emblems on my stingray. I read something about a blackout option you can get from the dealer for $95 when you purchase the vehicle. Do you know if you are able to purchase from the parts department from the dealer? would love to black out the front bumper trim and stingray emblem.

I agree with Steven.

from my experience it’s usually the younger guys who do it on their cars and not just Vettes— Big thing in Mercs and BMW.
course no one does it on Ferrari, Lambo Porsche Jag
funny thing is I got a used car once where the car was perfect but the emblem was put back the wrong way.
It was only noticeable if you compare it to the stock car.

i personally think it’s lame but I recognize it’s your car do what u want.
Just dont do it on a ‘63 Split window

I just changed out the chrome front and rear flags, along with word corvette to the carbon flash color and very happy with the look personally bought kit online for about $110.

I also like the fact that they bought the Stingray name back. So I too am leaving mine on.

I would of preferred that with the Stingray Fish icon. They should of kept some retro look if they were going to revive the Stingray name. By the way. It was kind of ballsy calling the C7 a Stingray. Stingray was a hallowed name from the C2 and very early C3 models. They had to believe strongly in the C7 to call it a Stingray. And they believed correctly. I believe the C7 has earned the Stingray name.

So would I. But it came from the factory with the fish only. I will leave it factory stock. GM should of polled their customer base on this. I think we would of voted for the above.

I took the stingray badges and the corvette lettering on the rear end off. I like a nice clean look.

I used doubled up floss. Work your way going up and down behind the edge of the fish badge. Take your time and it'll come off. Some guys use Goof-Off to loosen up the adhesive as they work the string behind the fish. When the emblem comes off, pick as much of the remaining sticky stuff off and then use a rag with Goof-Off on it to clean up the rest. You'll never know it was there. Don't worry about damage to the finish...I've removed mine twice with no problems. I'd changed my mind once and put 'em back on but in the end decided against it again.

Then the question is, if they were chrome and you took them off, would actually then seek out and buy the carbon ones and put them on?

First thing I would have done if the car I ended up buying didn't have the carbon badge package already. I like the contrast in colors......black with my shark gray.
