GOOD riddance!
The carbon flash logos are worth $135 a set under code RIN and do not show up anymore on the Chevy build page.

The codes for the Stingray badging are, VYW, VLI, 5YN, V8X, SH2, RXJ, VTE, RIN
I thought you need the LT5 in order to take advantage of the 17HP from the RVK.

the base model is the 1LT with the 6.2L V8 DI engine with 455 hp at 6000 rpm and 460 lb-ft of torque ate 4600 rpm called the LT1 engine a bit confusing, the Z51 exhaust is suppose to add 5 hp and 5 Lb-ft but the RVK air intake adds 17 hp to either. I rather have a quieter car with 17 more horses.

I'm not saying you cant buy it and install it on the LT1. I'm saying you will only get the 17 hp if you install it on an LT5.

hate to burst your bubble, but it looks like you will get ZERO hp if you add to an LT1.

well perhaps, but my hot rodding experience is a low restriction air intake system adds power on the high end. a 30% reduction in air intake restriction will count for something, besides it looks very cool
and it is factory installed in my build. FYI I added a flex flap to my old explorers air box before its filter to reduce intake restriction and it added a noticeable increase in high speed performance and gave me a slight MPG boost.

I'll let you know once i get it.
  • Up to 17 horsepower increase
  • Up to 30% reduction in air restriction
  • 50-state legal
  • Increased air box volume
  • Jake logo provides visual impact on clear window

Hi so the drive home was interesting, did a burn out leaving the dealer and another one leaving a light. I was NOT trying to do that, maybe some tire protectant was on the rear tires, hope that was the issue or this is going to be one heck of a beast to drive in the rain. Whatever is the reason the engine exhaust has a distinct large panther GROWL sound to it with even a light throttle push. My 2010 did not do that unless I stomped on it. I have the selective ride control in sport mode and the 8 speed automatic in drive. I was trying to be gentle with it. I will take it to work cautiously tomorrow and see how it behaves. I ordered the all season Michelin tires to replace the stock summer only as well.

I attached a photo of it next to my 2010 trade.

Love it! I won’t be pulling my fish off for it but I am thinking that emblem might look cool on the passenger side trim panel.

I think the stingray would look good on your car. I also really like the look of the stock silver painted rims on it. I went with the stock also because I really like the look of them. With all the guys going with black rims the stock silver are a nice change.

I have to agree. While the car looks great without the badges, I personally am embracing the heritage of the name. So, on my order I specced for all of the Stingray logo items I could. (Couldn’t get the center console lid because of my interior choice...dammit!)

In fact, I’m planning on going with this stripe on my Shadow Gray (photo courtesy of www.vettestripes.com):

I believe there are studs on the back. Little bit of quick work with a dremel tool can fix that though.
