Michelin says they'll be out this month (September)

In fact, they've been saying that for some time

I was thinking the same thing this morning. Even checked TireRack and they're sold out of AS3+ for Grand Sports as well. (Assuming my search was correct and they would be listed as an option for GSs. The Alpins were listed)

I was at Spring Mountain two weeks ago for Corvette owner's school and they said they would be out in September. Btw, the owner's school is total blast if you enjoy spirited driving, planning to go back next year.

Perhaps that's what you meant, but I think "sold out" means they aren't taking any more orders at this time. They were taking orders at one point, but no one has taken delivery of the AS3+ yet in wide-body sizes. The many who did order are on a wait list.

I spoke to someone in the know at Michelin and he, or she said the will be out by the end of September for sure. Probably around the middle of the month. (In the year 2018)

Probably several more months until supply catches up with demand. Preordering may get them to those who want them sooner rather than later.

Yes, I doubt Tire Rack will be taking any more orders until they can deliver to those wait-listed, and until they are confident they can obtain adequate supply. It would not surprise me if it takes until next spring to satisfy demand.

The same thing happened with the AS3+ ZP in Z51 sizes. I couldn't get ZP in time for winter because Tire Rack sold out quickly, so settled for the non-ZP version. The are great tires, and very respectable on hot pavement as well.

They were saying the same thing last year, and the year before.
Michelin A/S tires for the widebody C6 started being promised in 2010, finally appeared in 2018.

As the Indians would say, "Michelin speak with forked tongue."
For some crazy reason, I think it will actually happen this year but can't defend that statement.
Our car is a Z51 but I get tired of my GS/Z06 buddies dropping off the radar in October-November
This Spring, the story was that Michelin had cancelled their previously-announced C7 A/S widebody tires because they were excessively noisy. We have them on our Z51 and I find they are no quieter or smoother than the factory PSS runflats, possibly even a bit worse in those areas. But when the temps drop down below 40' and snow is a possibility, I'm happy to have them. For comparison, we have about 9k miles on our factory PSS and similar miles on our AS3+.
For those who care, the increased life and lower cost of the AS3+ cut your tire cost-per-mile almost in half.

Good luck to you guys!

Sorry for the un informed question..... BUT, is the Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 the "run flat" tire for the GS and Z06 that is forthcoming ? Seems like Tire Rack already shows it as available. If that is NOT the correct designation for the GS and Z06 then WHAT is the correct thing I should be looking for ?

thanks,

I'd bet they did not have a GS or Z06 rear size tire on display.

Fingers crossed that they are coming soon.

Right, that photo is not a Z06 tire size. That size has been out forever so calm down. LOL.
