Default Porsche owner takes Corvette for a joy drive

A friend of mine who owns a Porsche 911 Carrera visited me from out of state. I handed him my keys and filmed him carving the canyon in an unincorporated mountain backroad. We verified there were no cars in both directions during this video shoot. He was quite impressed with the handling and sheer brute v8 torque power this American sportscar delivers. Enjoy watching the American muscle cut through the curves.

^^ He lowered it. Also, that looks more like beginning oversteer than drift--maybe just a word diff. Glad he left the nannies on.

Thread title should be "Traction control saves the day!!!"

Love the lowered look of the car. Very nice.

Without the nannies, his buddy would have planted his car into that hill.

You're a brave man for letting a poor driver almost wad up your car!

Sorry, I meant poor as in lousy or inept. Owning a Porsche does not necessarily make one a good high speed driver. He made several mistakes and, as has been said, if it weren't for the nannies, you would be scraping your car off the cliff. Attend a good corvette drivers school and you'll see what I mean.

" You're a brave man for letting a poor driver almost wad up your car!" Personally, I don't think "brave" is the right word!

The car is just a car, it can be replaced. This is my good friend from high school and I am just being a nice guy letting him experience my car. Back in the day he let me drive his 1969 Z28 for the thrill because I only had a 1963 chevy pickup. So this is my way of saying thank you for that experience, now that I have a nicer car feel free to take it for a spin.

A friend of mine did the same for me 'back in the day'. It was my first time driving a high-powered car and it was, in a word, intoxicating. The thrill of that powerful acceleration was something I'd never experienced before and I was instantly hooked. I remember him telling me to take it easy because it took lots of gas. He had one of those dark green models with the big white stripes. I'll never forget it.

And now back to the regularly scheduled discussion in progress....

I have no problem with that, I laid some black rubber in his 69 back in the 70's
