I didn't realize how subpar the camera was until I bought a Ford Escape last year and noticed how much better the camera was. But the Corvette camera is adequate for the way I use it. It's just the Ford camera is wide angle and the clarity and focus is so much better.

The cameras are really crappy. Especially in low light. I'm an early riser and now it's dark when I leave home. The backup camera is nearly unusable. Would like to know if there are pop in replacements with better optics.

While related somewhat--because it's a camera--I'm going to be a little off topic but I was surprised to see the PDR is only 720p and was added to the vehicle options at a time when one could easily obtain a dashcam that did 1080p and higher. I've had my dashcam for about 3 years and it's 1280p and cost around $100. Why would GM skimp on cameras--be it front and rear parking cams or driving cam--for their most expensive offering? Seems weird.

Agree in the front sensors instead of camera's. They do not highlight the lip of a parking curb enough to know where you at. If the cement is the same color it all looks flat to me.

Your Corvettes don't have all the bells and whistles of the Tahoes, when it comes to sensors. You're going to have to adapt and adjust your expectations to live with your C7s without ramming curbs, etc.

Been driving corvettes for over 33 years now. My 14 was the first to have a back up camera. My 18 is the first to have back up and a front view camera. I survived all those years with out backing into anything before the 14, and never had an issue with the front until the 18.
So the camera picture quality is not a big deal. I think it works great, much easier to back into garage with the camera than it was with the corvettes with out one. As for parking going in forward, way better with this crappy camera then it was with no camera.

My real complaint about the front camera is you can't turn it on until you are just about stopped, it's ridiculous. Picture quality is abysmal as well but it does the job.
