Default C7 Owners Poll: Do you Miss Round Taillights and Pop-up Headlights?

The C7 is a beautiful and powerful sports car, but we are curious: How many of you miss the round taillights and pop-up headlights?

IMO the pop up headlights were part of the charm of the early 'Vettes, but with the new headlight lens technology, I prefer the new sculpted headlights..
Am agnostic on the round tail lights. They "fit" on the old styles, but with the C7, something new was called for. That said, of all the visual cues on my C7, the tail lights are my least favorite.. A bit "Transformer-ish" for my tastes...

Not really a joke, papillion. Actually curious what Corvette enthusiasts think for a future article.

I miss the round tail lights and think the current rear lights are the worst visual feature of this stunningly beautiful car. The headlights on the C7 fit superbly into the lines of the car so I do not miss the pop-up lights.

My two cents:

Don't miss pop up headlights. Too complex, costly (even in long run - moving parts will require maintenance and/or will eventually fail), heavy, compromise aero, etc...

Tail lights; Initially preferred round - now I've realized that the current tail lights were the right call, considering the C7's chiseled design.

Cheers/B

I do not miss either, they were good for their time period but the C7 looks fantastic the way it is and I can't imagine it with either of those.

What I see here is that most people have gotten over the round tail light issue. It's a done deal and I hope the C8 lights are a derivative of the C7. like I've seen in some renderings.

There was a LOT of screaming about the lack of round tail lights when the C7 appeared. But time has a way of making things "grow" on ya. The C6 tail lights would look strange on a C7. I am curious what the C8 will have. Maybe it will be a design everyone likes. NOT!

the real problem with that kit is that its fiberglass, which would make the panel gaps much more uniform in appearance. this would throw off the overall fit and finish of the factory joints.

Valid point, but so long as the panel gaps don't exceed four pennies it's good, right?

With daytime running lights why would anybody want flip up headlights? They look like crap when they are up and in use. The rear of the C7 is a really nice change in my opinion. When you are behind a C7 you know it even from a long distance. I really like the C7 just the way it is and that's probably why it's the first Corvette I ever bought.

Incidentally, there is an "Ask Tadge" where he explains why round lights made sense with incandescent bulbs but don't particularly do so with LEDs.
