BUT, be sure to specify that it MUST be OEM. ONLY! I'd put it in writing.

Unfortunately I had two cracked windshields replaced. Fortunately the auto glass company I use has a guy who has replaced many C7 windshields.
So whoever you go to with make sure they are not a newbie on replacing the windshield given the fact it’s like minor surgery. They have to remove and disconnect a whole lots of stuff.

Safelite and your insurance company are a perfect match.

If you have pdr, make sure the aftermarket windshield is camera compatible. It should also have the correct black out around the mirror/camera. May want to check with dealer if the camera would have to be calibrated; can't tell if the mirror is attached directly to the windshield or not.

Safelite is very good, their techs are almost always well-trained, and have mounting equipment which makes it a precise process. They will order OEM glass if that's what you want, and insurance companies will generally pay for it. I recommend sticking with OEM, especially if HUD-equipped.
Of all the vehicle repairs one may face in the course of ownership, this is the one I worry least about. I even watched this windshield being replaced. That took 4 guys, but went off without a hitch.

Did the windshield crack on its own or did something hit? If it cracked on its own you can get it replaced under GM warranty? There is a flaw in the frame that causes the windshield to break. My dealer has done 5 of them under warranty?

Depending on your ins. co. you may or may not qualify for OEM glass, w/o paying the difference.
There is nothing (necessarily) wrong with non GM HUD glass. I had mine replaced with non GM glass (because it was a five hundred $ difference), and it is optically perfectly good glass, and I can't tell the difference. The markings on the glass were the same except for "GM."

HUD reflects the image off the windshield. There are 2 reflective surfaces - the inside (facing the driver) and the inside face of the outer lite where the 2 sheets of glass are laminated together.
In some cases, the two images can reflect and be slightly out of phase creating 2 images that are not the same and the reflection can look fuzzy.
(i.e. Parallax)
HUD windshields add a non reflective clear coating to the #3 surface (inside surface of the outside lite) creating a situation where you only see one image, without distortion.
The added cost is to coat one surface of one lite.
