Default Michellin Pilot Sport A/3 Plus for my '18 Z06

Currently on a road trip. Passing through Las Vegas New Mexico this morning and picked up a large nail. I plugged it on the side of the road and drove to Discount Tire in Santa Fe New Mexico and had a set of Michellin Pilot Sport A/3 Plus tires installed on my 18 Z06. Four hundred miles later I can report that these tires are great!!!. Good bye road noise and a smoother ride. Drove through rain and these tires really grip the road. If you get a chance buy a set.

I'm just about ready for my second set; just over 45K miles, may have a few more K miles before my next road trip......love the tires.

Just put a set on 2016 Z last week, have driven them about 200 miles, I am impressed, I feel good I can now drive the car below 40 degrees & not slide off the road.

Are they available for the Z06 in the same size as OEM? Thanks

I ordered a set of AS3 for my '19 GS and had them installed yesterday at Discount Tire. Below are my observations after driving them about 70 miles through the rain on the interstate.

I had a set of the non-run flat AS3s on my '14 Stingray with Z51. I had two sets of wheels for that car. One set of the regular Michelins Pilot Super Sports and one with the AS3 non-run flats. I drove with Pilot SS during from April through November, and drove with the AS3s December through March. I thought the AS3 on the Z51 road softer and a bit more quiet than the PSS. The handling with the PSS was somewhat better than the AS3s. Overall I did not sense a large difference in ride and handling difference between the different sets. With that being said I would rather have the PSS on during the summer months.

Now to my perceived differences on between the two tires on my GS. After the AS3 ZP (run flats) were installed yesterday, I drove about 70 miles through rain on the interstate. I think the ride is a bit softer with the AS3. I think the noise level is about the same between the PSS and the AS3 ZPs. I think the noise between the AS3 non-run flats on my Z51 and the AS3 ZPs on my GS is the same but the sound is different. The AS3 non-run flats sounded much like the PSSs. The AS3 ZPa appear to have more of a tread sound to me. Not a bad sound, just different. For some reason in my limited 70 miles of driving on the new AS3 ZPs, I notice more of a handling difference between the PSS versus AS3 ZP, and the AS3 versus AS3 non- run flats. The AS3 ZP seem more responsive to me.

So far I am very impressed by the AS3 ZPs and would recommend them to anyone needing an all season high performance tire on their Vette. I will drive on the AS3 ZPs for awhile before deciding whether to keep the PSS for warmer weather driving.

Non-run flats for me, Z51 set-up, purchased from COSTCO. Driven about 250 miles so far, absolutely fantastic. Drove in 33-degree temps Saturday morning thru downtown Milwaukee on the bridge, rounded sharp turn around 70... not a hiccup!!

I went with the non-run flats as well. Great ride, much more quite and soft feeling than OEM. I've got a good repair kit /compressor but hope I don't have to use it because the car is so low it could be tough getting a plug in there.
