Default What did/didn't you buy your C7 for?

I see lots of whining posts about radios, seat heaters, etc. so:

I didn't buy my corvette to listen to the radio
I didn't buy my corvette for heated seats
I didn't buy my corvette for cooling seats
I didn't buy my corvette and expect all the nannies and sensors
I didn't buy my corvette for a quiet Lexus like cabin.
I didn't buy my corvette for a roomy cockpit I could lounge in

I bought my corvette to drive the hell out of it every chance i get!!!!!

Okay... I guess people like to vent their frustrations. I suppose this forum is a good place to do it.

I didn't buy it for all those things either. But if you are gonna add cooled seats at least make the AC cooled. Not just vented. They do suck in comparison.

I bought it for the styling, power, affordability, and most of all fun!

That it also turned out to be very comfortable as well is just icing on the cake.

Since I drive my car about 25K a year I like the features offered on the high-end (3) cars... I just got back from a 5,600-mile trip. Did a 5,200-mile trip to Canada last year. Creature comforts come in pretty handy on long treks.... my car is a DD, but I do split the duties with another sports car, putting about 10K a year on it..... it has almost NO creature comforts.

I DID buy it over a C6Z06 for the rear view camera tho. All that stuff you listed above + rear view camera = sold C7.

Sounds to me like you are more interested in telling us why you bought your vette than why we bought ours, while also dismissing issues some of us have brought up as irrelevant. I'm not sure what "driving the hell out of it" means, which I'm guessing you will also find dismissive. It's a testosterone-fueled brag that doesn't add much to the overall discussion. But bully for you and all that. I'm very impressed.

Those are the same reasons I bought my Corvette.

In addition, this is my first American car and to celebrate the last presidential election I decided it was time to help make America great again.

I didn't buy it to sit in the garage. It gets driven all day every day.

daily driver here too. Also bought it for track day fun. Just been too busy with other projects to get out there so far.

While I didn't buy it for the radio I sure wish the audio system was better... no big deal I'll just modify it to satisfy me. There are other little things that bother me but nothing so upsetting that I'm going to sell the car tomorrow, next week, or next month or even next year.

I bought it fairly cheap as these cars go. I had a C5, C6 and thought why not try a C7.

My favorite remains my C5 z06. Of course my current favorite car is my 1994 NA Miata so I guess I am just weird.

I really liked my C5, but it just wasn't 'bad-***' enough. I wanted neck snapping power, enough to make me say whoa! I tried a C6, but that wasn't quite enough. The C7 was beautiful and it had all the power I wanted. Coming up on three years of ownership and I still get a thrill every time I drive it.

I bought my 14 crystal red/Kalahari vert as a kind of cool work truck. 4 1/2 years+ and 73K+, job sites all over hell and gone in the LA area*. Oh, yeah, it's a Vette, heh, heh.

*Daily driver.
