Fellas!

I traded my ZL1 1LE on Tuesday for a new 2019 Grand Sport (always wanted a wide body C7)... It was a deal I just could not pass up, and I'm happy to be BACK! ZLE was amazing, but as I said it was a deal I could not say no to.

Of course, I bought the car off a lot, IN THE RAIN, did not have the time to let them really clean it, then drove it home (late). Spent yesterday picking up my Father in Law and going to Road Atlanta (in the rain), then parking it on the grass (in the rain). Car is FILTHY, but MINE! I'm not a garage queen type, but this sucker looks like a northern car after a salty winter (cleaning starts tomorrow).

Side note: Reggie over at Jim Ellis in ATL was absolutely amazing. I've bought many cars in my day, but he is among the finest true enthusiast guys I have ever worked with. Was excellent dealing with him!

Behold, the BLANK SLATE!

WARNING... If you like really clean Corvettes, the following may be disturbing!

I get the issue with cleaning Tuesday when you bought it and the rain started in the evening. I get it yesterday because the edge of the hurricane rolled through....but...
I am extremely disappointed in you. There was SUN this afternoon...I drove with the Camaro converitible top down from work....and you didn’t use that time to clean your new Vette? For shame, devnull, for shame!

I do have to echo your comments about Reggie. I wouldn’t be driving my 2017 2SS convertible had it not been for him!

Even this non garage queen type cringed at the thought of the kids cleaning it. THATS why you cars look like that (got it). HA

Typo not forgiven. Jony sucks

It’s a total joy when my grandson helps wash the car.

I applaud you and cringe at the same time.

I drove mine on a couple of dirt/gravel roads with the top down on the day I bought it, rain that weekend, and in the snow a few days later.

eta: I also test drove it (three days before I bought it) in the rain with the salesman in the right seat more or less freaking out. "Don't push it, don't go too far away (it's a PE), so he's pulling the collectable card , pull into this gas station because it's going to run out of gas (yes, he said that), go back to the dealer, now. " Three miles and three days later....

I was actually ginger on this car given the circumstances, but holy crap, this guy didn't know how to determine what I knew, and how to react. Nevermind that I showed up in one corvette and said I was trading in the other corvette.

Congrats on the new Vette !!! Yep, they clean up just fine. We've driven more than one new one home from Kerbeck in the rain. Pretty nasty looking after a 4 hour ride. Hope you're going to the race on Sunday as well.

Are you in the Corvette Corral, and able to get on the track for the parade laps? I had a ball at VIR in August but was just there for the Sunday race, and early enough to do the parade laps... got up to 117 mph at one point.

Have fun, and enjoy the new ride.

I had an identical experience last December. Went to test drive my Z and the sales kid in the passenger seat told me to be cool since the owner of the dealership was watching. It was wet and in the 40's that day. I had no intention of getting on it
but at the first left turn I could feel the rear end getting loose. I was coming from a 2008 so I was used to power but this was another level.

Buddy glad to see you back in a vette I didn't think you would be gone from one for long. Nice color too but get that dam thing clean & get that exhaust on it. Robert

Hey Bud! We aren't sure if we will make it yet (busy weekend), but will see. Yeah being on the track with these things is an amazing experience! THANKS!

You have my priority list in order Robert! Cleaning and Zaino starts today, then the exhaust (then the usual wrap/tint/wheel color/etc stuff). WHAT A CAR! Finally a wide body C7! Thanks man.

I am picking up my grand sport, finally, this afternoon. It is raining all day and it is supposed to rain everyday, all week, until next Saturday, so I'll be using my new Vette in the rain. Cannot wait for a non-rain day to put the top down. Hope she is not made of sugar

It's a beauty for sure devnull. I like the pearl nickel wheels with the Admiral blue.

I get it Maxie. This little doll is my neighbors kid, and 10 years old now. But, I can still get help when I need it.
