Anyone else selling their C7 soon for this C8 (pics of C8 leaked inside)

NOT if it looks like that. Another "committee design."
A shame since some of the prior "guesses" have been pretty attractive.

If the C8 checks off those two boxes AND has a visible enginethrough the rear glass, I WILL trade my C7 in.
But if the C8 only has a DCT, I will happily drive my beautiful C7 7MT forever!

Unlikely due to new design teething problems, the lack of an MT, the probability of NO luggage space and the likely noise level from a 500 HP engine just behind the elbow are deal breakers....

The wonderful sounds my 328 Ferrari makes just behind my head... 32 valves, belts, cams, Tubi exhaust... are symphonic!

Hmm, placed money down on a 2014 in March 2013 before there was pricing! My September 2013 C7 Z51 was back to the dealer once- to have that late sealt belt software fixed. In 3 1/2 years never a problem. Will post my C8 pics and mods soon after it's out!

Autoweek recently ran actual spy shots that it looks like the rendering may be based on..
fsvoboda,
Thank you for posting the link to those pics!
Well, sorry friends, but the C8 is a "No Go" for me... and here's why...
Corvette has always been short rear deck and gorgeous long front end. Such a beautiful combination from the start, and throughout all the model years of America's bad ***, bad to the bone, and now truly a world class super car!
I am just not a fan at all of the original Honda/Acura NSX body style, with driver and passenger sitting on top of the front tires, and a long tail end, that has the exact opposite body proportions of what Corvette is, and has always been.
Although I'm sure the C8 will be a beauty, and a lovely mid-engine dream come true for the Corvette design team; it will probably grow on me, if I somehow squint at it long enough, and close one eye a little...
But representing the 66 years of Corvette's ultra graceful, gorgeous, distinctive body proportions, this new shape of sitting on top of the front wheels and the rest of my "dairy-air" hanging out 10 feet behind me does not scream Corvette!
GM, if you're listening, and you should be, please keep a front engine model, with a manual trans. The mid engine should be the "top of the line", but please, GM, keep a front engine model available for us, as an entry level model, for the multitudes of us who love that long hood and short rear deck, rear wheel drive beauty, keep one for the rest of us who don't want to drive a LamboFerraMcClareNSX style European Japanese style sports car!

Not even giving it any thought until I see official info and images from GM.
Even if I'm crazy about it I will wait a couple years.

Exactly! My Vette has to be able to hold two sets of clubs a suitcase and other miscellaneous stuff or it will sit in the garage. My wife and I will drive it to golf everyday and when we visit the kids and siblings the clubs need to be with us. If the C8 has a limited cargo area I will have zero interest in it.

Seriously?
Last retractables were about 2004 or so. They were a way to deal with aerodynamics and headlight height requirements. Now that streamlined lights are allowed and we have better light sources than existed then, the retractables make no sense. They just add needless complication and cost; also, they have issues with respect to pedestrian safety engineering.

Offer it in a vert with a manual trans and 500 hp and i’d consider it in when it gets discounted at least 10%.

Who would want instant torque and a Corvette that was even faster? I'd rather hang out with the 5.0 mustangs. Loud and slow, just like god intended.

That's probably the best-looking render I've seen, and it's the right color. I like it. Unfortunately, I'm not sure this design will look good as a convertible, and the availability of a manual transmission will be the two deciding factors for me.
However, my wife is very interested, wants both a coupe and an auto, so there may well be a C7 and a C8 in our garage.
